    Skier outside of Aspen Mountain dies after being cau...

    A person died Monday in an avalanche outside of the Aspen Mountain boundary, but the Pitkin County Sheriff's Office said the body would not be recovered until Tuesday. According to the Sheriff's Office, officials were notified shortly before 3 p.m. that two skiers were involved in the snowslide.

    Aspen avalanche victim died of asphyxia, blunt force...

    Aspen resident Marty Gancsos died of asphyxia with blunt force back injury as a "significant contributing factor" in Monday's avalanche on the west side of Aspen Mountain, according to the Pitkin County Coroner's Office. Gancsos skied out-of-bounds with another person Monday in terrain west of Ruthie's Lift .

    Zachary Wade Nicholson

    Zachary Wade Nicholson died unexpectedly on Sunday, January 25th in Winooski, Vermont. He was born in Aspen, Colorado on March 9, 1984, the son of Marsha Nicholson Van Leeuwen and the late Mark Hod Nicholson.

Also, Glenwood Springs HEARTBEAT group for survivors after suicide, meets every second Tuesday, 6:30 p.m., Glenwood Methodist Church.

    Tom "Deli" Laucks was remembered by chums at the Eagles Club recently, for creating inDELIble memories during his decades in Aspen. Tom died in Scottsdale, Arizona, Nov. 23, 2014.
