Typical, other countries wanting to use our kiwi ingenuity.
Guaranteed we won't get any credit for it as usual.

NAH UH! They'll be driven out by the tall poppy syndrome! Or one of them will strap-in while drunk and crash it into the workshop! I mean, what other country would have a bunch of prostitutes test fly the thing! Misogynists! No wonder they had to get investors from overseas, Kiwis are all mortgaged to the hilt or struggling with daily living expenses. I don't know why they even bother, just pack it up and go back to the rugby!

Nah we get sick of wasting other countries there we wanna waste them somewhere else now. Um lets see where we have beaten other countries so far........

Split the atom (America and such countries wouldn't be the super nuclear powers they are today)

Make the first aeroplane (credit stolen from us by the Wright brothers)

Worlds fastest racing horse (stolen by the Aussies)

Pavlova (stolen once again by Aussies)

Grant Bowler (Aussies again)

Now what else?

The Hamilton Jet (Boat), barbed wire, Edmund Hillary climbed Everest first,The Britton motorbike the fastest landspeed record in the world, Bungy Jumping, Epic Movies with the greatest graphic design company in the world (WETA) Lord of the Rings, King Kong and parts of Wolverine was filmed in NZ. Half our actors and musicians are stolen by Oz, half Aussies rugby teams are made up of kiwis, so its like playing ourselves.
And the only thing Aussie has authentically invented...is...the Rotating Clothes Line...
Ummm yeah...enough said.

Anyway not sure if your from Aussie or not just saying what has been stolen and the culprits always seem to be Aussies.

So here Budzilla is displaying two reprehensible kiwi attitudes. First it's the Xenophobia as though the world's out to get NZ and that it owes NZ a living. Then it's this cop-out of resting on the laurels of past achievements. Never mind the shyte state of affairs now, Grant Bowler is taking the Aussie TV world by storm!

My arse Australia steals, capable kiwis like me have to leave because NZ is a yoke on our ambitions. Okay there's the fact it's small and only recently broke 4 million people but there's no excuse for the societal attitudes that shoot down success and celebrate mediocrity.

It's about time NZ got real, th denial is only making things worse.

Tally Poppy Syndrome is (or was?) known in Aussie as well. In NZ it's been on the way down. There are Peter Jackson's successes which you couldn't say are mediocre. "Tall Poppy" in NZ often meant Kiwis would put themselves down and have a belief that we couldn't produce or do things like elsewhere. But NZ does produce some world-class stuff and people here have and still make (technical) innovations. I don't really buy the Tall Poppy stuff any more, it used to be more common and could piss you off but not so prevalent now.

Hes not worth replying to. You can give him facts and he'll ignore them then come back at you with meaningless "facts" he pulled out of his arse rather than facts from a reliable source. I won't reply to him on this forum I've wasted enough of my time trying to teach someone who simply doesn't want to learn.

I'm sure any of his ambitions NZ "yokes" on won't amount to anything because of his closed and opinionated mind. Unless he aspires to be a road worker or sanitiation officer.

What I have written is fact. If you see any of my posts in other forums, you will see I get agitated when people try to argue their point without any evidence backing it up. I'm sure heaps of web pages exist saying Kiwis didn't do this and that just as I am sure heaps exist saying we did. It's just one of those things I guess. You are welcome to list some sites disputing my other comments but I'm sure I could just as easy make a counter-list.

Big countries just can't seem to understand how this tiny country at the bottom of the world keeps on beating them to so many things. Now I see why they try and take the credit from us. I'd be embarrased to.

I rather enjoyed an episode of 20/20 the other night where a woman had to leave the U.S and come to NZ to get surgery done as the U.S health care system sucks donkey c**k. She could't have been more greatful to NZ and now people are always flying over here to get both normal and cosmetic procedures done. Seems to be a trend now.
But let me guess? That episode of 20/20 had to be fake because NZ can't do anything well. Right?

I was born and raised in N.Z and can assure you I wouldnt let a kiwi DR cut my toe nails. They set my hand so badly I had two surgeries to correct it,told my wife she had gas, two weeks later,in the u.s she was hospitalized with kidney failure, potential legal action assures accountability, unfortunatley people often abuse the legal system. My aunt worked in a hospital in the Waikato where they accidently amputated the guys right leg instead of the left one, after they figured out their mistake they still had to remove his remaining leg,I bet the guy was hopping mad.

Well not to worry my friend ,not really into making lists and counter lists myself,it sounds like a lot of research for a project that will most likely be disputed anyway, funnily enough though there are other countries also laying claim to splitting the atom, but whos to say ?Believe what makes you happy and always remember,no good deed goes unpunished.

Fair enough, I must admit our government is quick to tell us how good we are in those areas but the never seem to tell us when we f**k up. It's just a shame people can't sue in NZ.

What a crock of garbage. I just love how dumbarses like yourself revel in Aussie bashing and yet in everything you pick you're being a complete hypocrite. Yeah a lot of bogan Australian have tall poppy syndrome, but it's a lower % of their overall population than it is in NZ I can promise you. Just like in that thread I saw you bring up that 'hey hey it's saterday' racism scandal, and yet you conveniently forget NZ broadcasters (including one who had the longest ever NZ running show) calling people of African heritage 'cheeky darkies'.
And exactly what do you imagine are the "world class stuff and technical innovations coming out of NZ" you've mentioned? I think you need to get out of NZ and discover just what a lie you're being fed. All NZ is in the world market is; b-grade appliances, some methode savignon blanc, milk powder and some decent lamb despite most sheep farmers in NZ being too dumb to get proper meat breeds instead of Merino sheep which re bred for wool and warmer climates. That's really about it, NZ is definitely an underachieving country.

Daily Horoscope for December 29

Aries

There are mixed messages flying around in the ether today, so be wary about drawing any concrete conclusions from what happens now. Even though you don't realize it, you may be misreading the signs that someone is sending out, which will lead to complications later on.
