Five Maple Leafs prospects who impressed at rookie tournament

Bibeau backstopped the Maple Leafs rookies to a 2-0 shutout of the Pittsburgh Penguins on Tuesday as the Toronto prospects finished their four-team tournament with a 2-1-0 record. It was perhaps fitting that Bibeau got the 25-save shutout at Budweiser Gardens.

The Maple Leafs' third and final game of the 2014 rookie tournament goes this afternoon versus the Pittsburgh Penguins' youngsters. Josh Leivo, who stood out as not belonging on the ice surface in a good way on Saturday, draws back in and will flank one of the tournament's pleasant surprises in Brett Findlay - who, it should be clarified on account of some confusion, is one of Kyle Dubas' additions and is signed to a contract by the Toronto Marlies for the upcoming season.

Tim Leiweke player 'character' shot sparks buzz

Tim Leiweke, soon-to-be former president of Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment , has called out some unnamed players whose “character is just terrible,” suggesting local teams are “doomed for failure” because of it.
