Before each round of the NHL Playoffs, I crunch a few basic numbers and come up with an expected goals for and against for each team, based on shot differentials and save percentages.

The biggest question mark, however, is Viktor Stalberg. The winger had what could be termed a lackluster first round of the playoffs, notching only one assist and no goals in five games.

Coach Mike Babcock split Pavel Datsyuk and Henrik Zetterberg in Game 7 of the first round against the Ducks, and it seemed to invigorate both newly formed lines.
