You may remember the Detroit Red Wings from when they fled the Chicago Blackhawks' division for the Eastern Conference, and we beat them 4-1 in the first round of the playoffs. Yeah, it was pretty cool.
Zach Trotman made one of the biggest jumps on our list, and is looking to be a true diamond in the rough. Much like Torey Krug who wasn't drafted at all, the Bruins took a flyer on Trotman, who was the last selection of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft.
As the NHL season creeps closer, the Boston Bruins still seem set on filling their open roster positions with players from within their organization. While those roster decisions probably will not become clear until after the preseason, the Bruins have been making other news lately.
