Ducks still talking, trying to sign winger Smith-Pelly

Slow progress is being made between the Ducks and unsigned winger Devante Smith-Pelly, but the two sides have yet to reach a contract agreement. Ducks general manager Bob Murray and senior vice president of hockey operations David McNab resumed negotiations with Smith-Pelly's agent, Eustace King, late last week and talks continued over the weekend.

Kerdiles : looked good, but was getting smashed all night. he took some hard hits and had to go to the dressing room a couple times.He made a pretty pass to set up Karlsson for the first goal, and he got a secondary touch on the Ritchie goal as well.

OK, so we've analyzed and armchair GM'd the living hell out of what the Canucks ' roster will look like at the beginning of the regular season and it should look something like this: Vancouver finished with a 36-35-11 record and ended up 12th in the West, 1 point behind Winterpeg and 9 points out of a playoff spot. Let's quickly look at what the other teams in the Pacific and Central Divisions have done this offseason and draw a comparison of roster depth.

The Anaheim Ducks have been a top contender in the Western Conference for the past few seasons, and the games between the Ducks and Chicago Blackhawks usually draw the best out of both teams.
