Malcolm Jenkins Filling the Void in Philadelphia Eagles Secondary

The Indianapolis Colts were one play away from taking what potentially could have been an insurmountable 10-point lead with less than five minutes remaining against the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 2, when from out of nowhere, Malcolm Jenkins came flying into the picture. Andrew Luck 's intended target on 3rd-and-9 in Philadelphia territory fell down mid-route, providing Jenkins a clear path to the pass from his safety position for an interception.

Former Eagles exec Ryan Grigson earns wings as Colts GM

It's difficult to imagine Cody Parkey as an Eagle if it weren't for the relationship between Howie Roseman and Ryan Grigson. Former Eagles colleagues and frequent trade partners, the two general managers had just placed rookies on waivers on Aug. 20 that would have filled holes on each of their teams.

Eagles safety Nate Allen covers Jaguars tight end Marcedes Lewis.

One week into the NFL season, the Eagles are in the odd position of alternately hoping that last year's results meant something and also hoping they meant very little.
