Peyton Manning threw for 242 yards and three touchdowns to lift host Denver to its fifth straight victory over AFC West rival Kansas City. Agrees To New Drug Policy

The NFL Players Association has unanimously approved the league's proposal for a revised drug policy that will now include testing for human growth hormone while raising the threshold on marijuana infractions. Additionally, the new agreement will move positive tests for amphetamine use from the classification of a performance-enhancing substance to one of abuse, meaning players who currently serving suspensions for amphetamines will likely have those overturned immediately and be eligible to play as soon as this weekend.

Report: NFL, players close on new drug policy

A new NFL drug policy could soon be enacted, with the NFL Players Association set to vote on the proposal Friday, ESPN.com reported Thursday. The vote was pushed back in part because the Baltimore Ravens and Pittsburgh Steelers were playing Thursday night, the website indicated.

Wes Welker's early return connected to result of NFLPA voting Friday

The NFL Players Association's 32 team representatives will vote on a revised drug policy Friday, according to two NFL sources close to negotiations. One source said if the players approve the new policy Friday afternoon, Broncos wide receiver Wes Welker would be among several players who could be reinstated from their suspensions by Friday night.
