it was achieved by the chinese scientists.

it was not achieved by the chinese politicians.
chinese politicians only ordered the seeding.

So they had an early snow and someone wants to take credit. No offense, but that is a bit lame. I have plot and a secret device to make the sun go down this afternoon. You just wait. It's going to work and the world will be amazed.

The technology was developed in the US in the 1930's, but even then it was rejected because it didn't work all that well and because of the high cost of the necessary chemicals. Nowadays they would not be used anyway in Western countries on account of the pollution.

Stalin used to pull similar stunts in the old USSR. The CCP wants to assume a "god" status in their propaganda to provide some meagre shred of legitimacy for their criminal regime. The CCP, of course, don't care how many deformed children their propaganda stunt causes.

Same old propaganda crap.

Poor China.

The system developed some years ago in the US occasionally seems to work but has been very unreliable. The same system in the hands of the Russians or the Chinese would be highly unreliable although it would work sometimes, unless they have improved it somehow. It isn't impossible, you know.

You wouldn't say that if the Americans tried it, would you? Well, they tried it for years and found that it sometimes works.

I didn't say that it was.

But if you want to believe a rather obvious re-do of a tired old Communist propaganda stunt, with the addition of a blind leap of faith regarding "improvements somehow", I guess I can't stop you.

Could happen.
I personally prefer the old tried and true method of bringing rain, washing the car.

It should be noted that even Texas has a weather modification program that utilises cloud seeding.

And also...

"In the United States, cloud seeding is used to increase precipitation in areas experiencing drought, to reduce the size of hailstones that form in thunderstorms, and to reduce the amount of fog in and around airports. Cloud seeding is also occasionally used by major ski resorts to induce snowfall. Eleven western states and one Canadian province (Alberta) have ongoing weather modification operational programs."

24 countries use cloud seeding but it is only believed to be America who have used it as a weapon of war.

That, indeed, works every time!
