Time To Boycott Maine Lobster- After All, God Says Consuming It Is An Abomination

Full story: lezgetreal.com

If Maine wants to abide by God’s Law, then it is time that they abide by God’s Law. The Bible is clear- shellfish is an abomination. It is not to be eaten. It is time that the LGBT community and their allies help ensure that the people of Maine are not breaking God’s Law and helping to ensure that a group of people do not sully their souls by catching those crustaceans known as lobsters and it is time to put them off or menus.

Wrong, in Genesis we were given the bounty of the Earth. That includes lobsters.

No, no, my child. You cant pick and choose your scriptures. Lobster is surely in this quote from Leviticus

Leviticus 11:9-12 says:
9 These shall ye eat of all that are in the waters: whatsoever hath fins and scales in the waters, in the seas, and in the rivers, them shall ye eat.
10 And all that have not fins and scales in the seas, and in the rivers, of all that move in the waters, and of any living thing which is in the waters, they shall be an abomination unto you:
11 They shall be even an abomination unto you; ye shall not eat of their flesh, but ye shall have their carcases in abomination.
12 Whatsoever hath no fins nor scales in the waters, that shall be an abomination unto you.

Congrats, you're PICKING AND CHOOSING which bibles verses to obey?

Just wanted everyone to see that; but I see someone else beat me to it, and I thank them.

And as to the article: Do it, hit them where they live. I sorta think this is a "flailing" type of effort, though. It needs to be something that's a bigger deal and has greater national reach; it's not just Maine, here. It's -- according to polls and referenda -- half the populace that's enjoying committing rape and leaving children defenseless and without rights.

I agree. I live in MA and much prefer Ogunquit over P-Town, it's closer too, but Maine is off my list. I feel bad that I'm penalizing a gay friendly town for the rest of the state, but if they see a decrease in tourism it will have an effect.

Does anyone else here find lobsters and crabs to be seriously creepy? The spidery underside just gives me the chills - it's like the alien in the first Alien movie.

And they hate gay people.

Old covenant, that was jewish tribal law.

Does not apply to Christians.

Genesis, however, is still applicable. It's our planet, and all the things on it.

Maine Agrees With Obama: No Same Sex Marriage

Gay marriage has now lost in every single state—31 in all—in which it has been put to a popular vote.

If that is the truth, then the passages about homosexuality ALSO do not apply.

Nor should anything written by the false Apostle Paul.

Anti-gay rhetoric. Constantly attempting to put them down and "minimize" their personhood. This is why class action lawsuits are needed. This very type of abuse.

Of course they matter. You're not a dumbass, are you? You tell the board. If not, then you know that advertisers nationwide *scramble* to follow their rule and their lead. You just don't like that they do, so you pretend it doesn't matter.

Yet you responded with a post *saying* it doesn't. You understand basic psychology, right? Interesting.

I think it is time to go after the Catholic church's tax exempt status and any other church that contributed to this campaign. It has been reported that they had a second collection specifically for the Yes on 1. I hope they feel this is money well spent when there are large populations of homeless and unemployed. In my opinion this is against the church and state policy.

OH GOOD, then you just proved *there is nothing in the bible that says homosexuality is wrong* from the mouth of god.

Wanna run that by everyone again?

Or better yet, if you're anti-gay -- I wouldn't know -- start arguing that what I *just* said isn't true. Because the moment you do, you rely on jewish tribal law.

Try it. Watch what happens. These people were not born yesterday.

I *promise* you -- a 100% promise -- that you will not get it both ways.

Seriously? Genesis applies, Leviticus doesn't? Both written by Moses? Both part of the Pentateuch? Both words penned by the "Lawgiver's" hand? How does one still apply and the other one doesn't? If anything, Leviticus supercedes Genesis. How about this one? Reap what you sow. It's definitely time to boycott Maine.

Bring on the bible. Like it's been brought on a thousand times before. A million?

If the old testament *DOES NOT* apply, then prohibitions "against homosexuality" are null and void. The *ONLY* such "prohibitions" in the new testament are *apostolic opinion*. Moreover, those passages are said to have been mistranslated.

So which is it?

If the old testament applies, then *ALL* of it applies. Get cracking; don't eat shellfish, mix certain fabrics, or mix meat and dairy. Oh, wait, you eat cheeseburgers? You *just proved* there is nothing wrong with homosexuality.

Can't have it one way or the other. Oh, well, wait; wait: You can try.

I *promise* that if you do, thousands will pounce upon, screaming that you are picking and choosing -- and make you look stupid for having done so.

Your choice.

Yes, the same Obama, born of an inter-racial marriage. A redefinition of marriage passed through LAW, not popular vote. Polls taken over the years have indicated that the majority of people didn't accept this until 1991.....24 years after the law was enacted. Guess Obama was lucky that Inter-racial marriages weren't put up for a vote from the people, or he wouldn't be here.

Being the majority doesn't make you right. The majority supported segregation, not allowing women to vote, and deny inter-racial marriages long after legislation corrected these issues.

Take your bigotry and shove it. This is a set back. Gays being allowed to marry will be federally dealt with soon.
