I think this endorsement says alot about how far America has come despite those out there trying their best to cause a racial divide and blame Obama for it.

It's good to see that people who are hopping for change look past race.

There will be a backlash and growing support for Sen Obama if the media and the right continue to constantly trash him for his relationship with his Pastor. Especially once it is revealed that the Pastor's comments were totally taken out of context and revealed that the Reverend is much more politically main stream than everyone now thinks.

Failure leads to frustrations. Frustrations lead to demoralizing antics. Demoralizing antics from Hillary only demoralize her own supporters, but mobilzes other people for Obama.
State lawmakers endorse Obama By Mary Beth Schneider Posted: March 27, 2008 A group of state legislators from every corner of Indiana today endorsed Sen. Barack Obama for president. Thirteen of the 25 lawmakers backing Obama held a Statehouse news conference to urge Hoosiers to support Obama in the May 6 primary election. "There, you've had it," Sen. Earline Rogers, a Gary Democrat, said after the lawmakers spoke. "Indiana, north, south, east, west, middle. Black, white, Hispanic. Urban, rural. We cross all of these spectrum. And with those kinds of demographics that Indiana possesses, those are precisely the democgraphics that will make Barack Obama the next president of the United States. Other legislators are backing Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, including House Speaker B. Patrick Bauer, D-South Bend; Sen. Vi Simpson, D-Ellettsville and Sen. Jean Breaux, D-Indianapolis. At today's news conference, state Rep. Charlie Brown, D-Gary, said he has been angered by some of the political attacks on Obama, including from Clinton, because of the controversial comments made during sermons by Obama's f ormer pastor, the Rev. Jeremiah Wright. "One of the things that has angered me the most is the comments that Barack Obama should be held accountable for the comments made by his minister," he said. "That is truly the most ridiculous part of this campaign.... I wish that that could go away, yet his opponent wants to keep that alive by trying to deflect comments that she made that were kind of erroneous about Bosnia, by saying that well, if she were in church she would just get up and walk out of the church. Does anyone just leave their church home simply because of one or two comments that may be made by their minister if it is their long-standing church home?" Brown was referring to comments by Clinton, which she has since blamed on sleep deprivation, in which she described a 1996 visit to Bosnia when she was first lady. Clinton spoke of sniper fire that cut short a welcoming ceremony, though news video of that event showed no such problems. Source: http://www.indystar.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article... |

Senator Casey's endorsement is a great boost for us "closet" Obama supporters. With the governor running around the state arm in arm with Hillary and the local political hacks trying to convince us that the Clintons were the best thing to ever happen to PA, admitting to favoring Obama can be hazardous.
NAFTA virtually destroyed the blue collar worker in Pennsylvania. There have been no positive benefits derived from the often touted northeastern PA connection to the Rodham family. If someone as widely admired as Senator Casey will step up and endorse Obama, he is certainly worth a look. At least he hasn't done us any harm... |

Cary is a new guy in the Senate.Ultra liberal.Except for abortion, and gun control.A catholic.
I watch him in the Senate. He seems out of place there.A virtual water boy for the Ole line of liberals. A true yes man.His robotic voting record is no different that of the Obama supporter in the Senate. If Obama is so great, why can he not win Penna?.He seems weak in the big states. This only makes Hillary seem stronger. You can look good in a Democratic primary. But how will he look in the general election. The Republicans are getting ready, they are not starry eyed Obama lovers.Obama will get tasked, and his Ivy League projection will be torn off. He made it a racial issue, and that will get to him.It was not a problem, until he and his pastor stuck it in the eye of Americans who do not buy that feeling of national guilt. They got there own problems. So puppy dog Cary now locksteps with the far left in the Senate,it won't help!...change?? HA! |

Obama-Backing Senator Calls for Clinton to Drop Out
By ABC News March 28, 2008 9:46 AM Sen. Pat Leahy, D-Vermont, the chair of the Senate Judiciary Committee and a high-profile supporter of Sen. Barack Obama, D-Illinois, has called for Obama's opponent to drop out of the race. In an interview on Vermont Public Radio, said "There is no way that Senator Clinton is going to win enough delegates to get the nomination. She ought to withdraw and she ought to be backing Senator Obama. Now, obviously that's a decision that only she can make frankly I feel that she would have a tremendous career in the Senate." Leahy said he was fretting about the impact of the protracted Democratic race. "I am very concerned," he said. "John McCain, who has been making one gaffe after another, is getting a free ride on it because Senator Obama and Senator Clinton have to fight with each other. I think that her criticism is hurting him more than anything John McCain has said. I think that's unfortunate." Source: http://blogs.abcnews.com/politicalpunch/2008/... The rats always go for the bigger cheese.
I just hope that these turncoats end up realizing that they have given up a good Cheddar for a tasteless and hopeless fromage allegé. Let's wait for the next episode of this fantastic soap opera. |
Hi,I think 20 years, or so years of Obamas, spiritual adviser Hate tirades,,and Obamas wifes stupid remarks helped here. These rantings ravings, qualify as too interjected racism into this thing! No matter how you spell it, RACISM, HATE do not belong in the credentials of a candidate for President. |

Kudos for Senator Bob Casey for staying focused on the fact and not being ignorant to the fact that Rev. Wright is not running for president. Kudos for all of us caucasian people who have mentally moved past racism and can honestly say " we want Obama as the Democratic nominee" not because he's a bi-racial (and I say that because people seem to forget he is 1/2 white)man but the best person for the job. You know people can make up excuse after excuse and keep this Rev. Wright stuff brewing all day long but the true fact is that there are so many undercover racists out there, they could care less about Barack's affiliation with Rev. Wright, him not saluting the flag and pledging allegiance, all they are concerned about is that his skin is too dark. They are just to coward to admit it.
One last point I would like to make, I truely believe that before its all over, the racist whites will be the minority, and everyone else will go on and vote for the best candidate who is Barack Obama. It has already happened a couple of times, look at Iowa ,it sure wasn't the african american vote that won Barack the vote, because they only make up less than 5%, it was white people like myself and so many others who are tired of the same old racism in America.. |

Obama did not make anything racial. His pastor don't speak for him and he made that very clear!! The right wing conservative nuts and the media made it racial!! If they would have listen to the whole sermon we would not be having this conversation. Sound bites piece together is bias and partial judgment and the American people must have realized that because Obama is leading Clinton nationally by 8 points!! The demons and devils still could bring Obama down after controversy!!! |
|
Bobby, What racism? What hate? When have you ever heard Obama to make a racist or hateful remark? Hearing different points of view is not evil. It helps you understand the people around you, and that understanding is why Obama is in the best position to unite the country. As soon as you said "20 years" it was clear that you were another victim of the guilt by association campaign. I am truly angry about the lie that the right-wing media has pushed out as truth, and happy to see that some people are starting to figure it out. I pray that you too will wake up and see what is happening. |
|
I think stupid remarks by some of the former Presidents and present Presidents family members should have not qualified them either!! Hate and race = right wing conservatives and some dressed up democrats!! |
|
I guess its alright to sit in that place, listen to the things this pastor has been saying for 20years.Call him "Uncle" have your wife there along with you, Your kids, contribute to this ministers one million retirement house, say "I KNOW NOTHING" is an insult to all.Even to his supporters. They have to defend this "stuff".The "stuff" will keep coming out.Shows poor judgment on Obamas part. Now try to imagine that Obama is McCain...what would you say then? Like Hillary already tried to blame the vast right wing ..."I never had sex with that women" "I never heard anything like that" or the devil made me do it!!..its ludercrus!...nice try...It don't work!Obama has problems!..Good Luck! |
|
NO ONE HAD TO HEAR HIM SAY ANYTHING RACIST, HIS PASTOR/MENTOR SAID IT ALL FOR HIM AND ALSO LET EVERYONE NO HOW THEY FELT ABOUT AMERICA... |
|
|
i think what he did was wrong i WILL NEVER VOTE FOR HIM AGAIN.
