San Jose State has some talented players returning, but it won't be easy adapting to a tougher Mountain West Conference schedule and adapting to a new coach's system.

Former Serra High running back Erich Wilson, the Bay Area News Group's 2011 San Mateo County player of the year, has been released from his scholarship at Washington and is expected to transfer to San Jose State, his high school coach said Tuesday.
