Hammer time: Ticats end Riders' win streak with home win

Zach Collaros was solid, completing 29 of his 36 passes for 287 yards and two touchdowns, while newcomer Terrell Sinkfield returned a punt 57 yards to the house, as the Hamilton Tiger-Cats downed the visiting Roughriders 28-3 on Sunday afternoon. The Ticats were also pushed offensively by receiver Andy Fantuz, who reeled in 11 catches for 108 yards, as well as tailback Mossis Madu, who registered 91 total yards on 12 touches.

More honors for Pitt RB James Conner

Pitt running back James Conner was named the ACC's offensive back of the week for the second week in a row Monday after his dominating rushing performance Friday night against Boston College. Conner, a sophomore, ran for 214 yards and a touchdown on 36 carries as the Panthers opened their ACC season with a 30-20 win against the Eagles.
