Gator Bait: Why the Florida State Seminoles Could Upset the Florida Gators

Because the gators lack a great down field passing game

I don't think we can beat Florida. When was the last time FSU beat florida? 6 years ago. I never thought I would see teams run all over a Mickey Anderws Defence! Our secondary sucks. Teams look at that. It was a time I would say put FSU against any team in the NCAA and then we will see who's the best. The only way FSU could beat FU is they would have to have a almost perfect game. The "D" have to step up. The running game has to be great. All 4 cylinders have to be going. That the only way we can beat them. Until then I can't see it.

I know FSU could beat UF in a track meet or in basketball, but football seems unrealistic. Maybe next year. It's like U of Arizona trying to beat USC or Notre Dame trying to beat USC. I think FSU could make a great game of it because the team is tired of losing, but UF is just too talented and well-coached.

I don't believe the Seminoles have a shot at it. They haven't played good ball this year at all - including a big loss to South Florida and a poorly played game against UNC that they were fortunate enough to win in the end.

Although I will say, if not for some "bad calls" by the Florida refs - I mean, SEC refs, Florida could easily have lost its last two games.

As much as I would LOVE to see it, I don't see Florida State pulling the upset. Big games can bring big excitement and unexpected results, but not big games involving Florida, where every game is huge for them if they're going to win another national championship. They always come up big in big games and they have the experience in high pressure situations to handle this game with Florida State.
