That's what the BYU Cougars did the first quarter of the college football season, and naturally national attention has followed for the independent going against the grain in the college football world.
And this should come as a warning to BYU quarterback Taysom Hill. There's a fine line between using his talented legs as a weapon for converting third downs, escaping trouble and extending plays and the actual exposure to injury.
In our fictional game, BYU's Taysom Hill led the way for the Cougars with 22 carries for 111 yards and three touchdowns. He also completed 14-of-21 passes for 238 yards and a touchdown.

Time for a few notes and quotes from No. 25 BYU's 33-25 win over Houston on Thursday night in front of 57,630 at LaVell Edwards Stadium.
BYU jumped out to a 23-0 lead in the second quarter, but penalties and miscues led to BYU having to hold on for the 33-25 victory over Houston in BYU's home opener. After its defense provided the first two points of the game on a safety, BYU's offense scored the game's next three touchdowns.
BYU entered last March's WCC tournament title game against Gonzaga with hopes of leaving no doubt in the eyes of the NCAA tournament selection committee by winning the automatic bid. Of course Gonzaga raced out of the gates, taking a 17-point lead into the intermission and winning the game by the final score of 75-64.

Following blowout road wins at UConn and Texas to open the season, No. 25 BYU makes its home debut at LaVell Edwards Stadium Thursday at 7 p.m. with the University of Houston with confidence in the possibility of an undefeated season.
