Look... The SEC is by far the best conference in NCAA football. I you take the time and look at all the depth the SEC has it is clear. Any team can beat any team on any day. The reason that a SEC team is not national champs every year is because in this conference another team will beat the number 1 or 2 team. For instance say this year florida might get beat by auburn or some other non ranked SEC team. There is no other conference that has the depth or strength of so many teams like the SEC..

Except that most likely we won't play Auburn... bad example.
But yes, it is an issue. Which is why all conferences should be REQUIRED a conference championship game and we should use that as the first round of a playoff system. |

Wow... looked at that poll... you have to be kidding me. How can people stare in the face of last year's bowl game losses and say the Big 12 is a better conference?
How many wins is it going to take to shut 'em up? Oh well... I'd rather they be overrated than us. ;) |

Agreed. I wish the Pac-10 and Big 10 had a championship for football. The only problem with Florida is that they don't have a wrestling team. Wrestling is harder than football. I was watching the UFC TUF heavyweight show on Spike TV. A former NFL player talked about how MMA training for UFC is harder than the NFL. From that, it logically follows that MMA and wrestling are harder than college football. MMA uses a lot of wrestling, judo, and kickboxing. It's not uncommon for those guys to cut 10 lbs in a day for weight divisions. However, if the focus is strictly on football, then the SEC is the place to be. |

I don't know if you are giving the Big 12 enough credit this year. Although I still agree the SEC is the toughest conference to play in lately, I don't think it is as wide a margin as some believe.

SEC. Our middle of the pack teams would wreak havoc in any other conference. Just look at the Bowl records and the National Champions over the last 5 years. The NC game has become "The SEC Champion vs. someone else who's gonna lose"
