Prep football notebook: Rayville, Ruston
Without even meaning to, Rayville seems to be jumping on opponents early this season.
Steve Fairchild's a firm believer in the running-back-by-committee plan. CSU's football team used that approach frequently in the mid-1990s, when Fairchild was as an assistant coach here, and twice had two backs run for more than 1,000 yards apiece in a single season.
