NIU to meet S. Fla. in International Bowl
Northern Illinois interrupted its team banquet Sunday night for some breaking news.
For the first time in school history, the Northern Illinois football team will play in bowl games in back-to-back seasons as the Huskies accepted on Sunday an invitation to play in the International Bowl in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
Friday's matchup: Northern Illinois at Central Michigan
Radio: Noon, Friday; WNTD-AM 950, WAUR-AM 930. Records: Northern Illinois 7-4, 5-2 MAC; Central MIchigan 9-2, 7-0. Last meeting: Central Michigan won 33-30 in overtime on Nov.
