Sixers Reportedly Sign JaKarr Sampson to Three-Year Deal

According to Turner Sports writer and noted Rights to Ricky Sanchez supporter David Aldridge, the 76ers have dipped their toes into the dangerous free agent waters. Hearing former St. John's forward JaKarr Sampson , who played on 76ers' SL team, has signed a partially guaranteed 3yr deal w/Sixers.

In part II, we will take a step back and look at these key issues from the team perspective, and think a little bit about how Brett Brown may look to use his personnel to best advantage.

Hawks GM Ferry takes indefinite leave of absence

Atlanta Hawks general manager Danny Ferry took an indefinite leave of absence Friday, making the move under fire for his racially charged comments about a player. Hawks CEO Steve Koonin has resisted calls for Ferry to be dismissed, but said the 47-year-old GM asked for the leave.

All-Overrated NBA Team, 2015 Pre-Training Camp Edition

For many reasons, the hype can exceed the actual production, leaving a certain player in the realm of the overrated. Maybe he plays a flashy game that doesn't always correlate with success.

The young 76ers lack veteran leadership

Over the past fifteen months the SIxers have transformed from a middling team strapped with some chunky contracts for sub-star players to an extremely young team with copious cap space and financial flexibility. Outside of a couple older outliers, the team's lineup could pass as a college roster, and the team's highest paid player, Jason Richardson, who also happens to be its oldest, will make only about a quarter of what the league's highest paid players will make this season.
