The Jazz have been in the asset accumulation stage of their rebuild for a while now, and it's almost time to start moving those assets for long-term pieces. I know that many of us are attached to certain players, or groups of players, but the fact is that in order to contend we'll need to move some of them to better the team as a whole.

When the 2014-15 NBA season commences, most teams will have lofty dreams of hoisting the Larry O'Brien Trophy next June. Reality will soon thwart those grand plans for all but one franchise, however.

Mason Plumlee , who won an NCAA title in 2010, now has a gold medal from the FIBA World Cup as well. Plumlee was awarded the gold after Team USA blew out Serbia, 129-92, in Madrid.
