Timberwolves sign Glenn Robinson III

The Wolves announced the signing on Wednesday, less than two weeks ahead of the start of training camp. Robinson was the 40th overall pick in the June draft out of Michigan, but wasn't assured of a roster spot as the Timberwolves went through a massive overhaul while trading Kevin Love to Cleveland.

Arrest made in theft from Pacers star Paul George

Police have arrested a man in connection with the April burglary at the Indianapolis home of Indiana Pacers star Paul George. Indianapolis police say 43-year-old Michael Lewis of Whitestown was arrested Wednesday on burglary and theft charges for the April 28 break-in during which George's platinum All-Star ring valued at $15,000 was taken.

Dwight Howard's driver's licence suspended for not paying fine

The driver's licence of Houston Rockets eight-time All-Star centre Dwight Howard has been suspended in Florida for his failure to pay a fine for running a red light, court records show. Howard, who played for the NBA's Orlando Magic from 2004 to 2012, racked up 10 tickets for running red lights while in the Orlando area.

Sacramento Kings to retire Stojakovic's jersey

The Kings announced Tuesday that Stojakovic's jersey will be retired when they host Oklahoma City on Dec. 16. He joins Vlade Divac , Chris Webber and Mitch Richmond as the only players to have their jerseys retired by the Kings since the franchise moved from Kansas City in 1985. Sacramento drafted the Serbian-born Stojakovic 14th overall in 1996.

DSO's neighborhood concerts get $3.75M

The Detroit Symphony Orchestra is getting a $3.75 million grant from the William Davidson Foundation in support of its Neighborhood Concert Series, officials announced Tuesday. The grant will support the Detroit Symphony Orchestra's series of Detroit-area concerts, as well as additional activities outside of its Orchestra Hall home, over the next three years.

Amusement park won't rename coaster 'King James'

Ohio's Cedar Point amusement park is partnering with the LeBron James Family Foundation instead of renaming a roller coaster for the basketball superstar. The Sandusky park had vowed to rename a coaster "King James" if the four-time NBA MVP returned home to play for the Cleveland Cavaliers, which he did.
