Greg Hodnett is on a tear the last two weeks, winning the Tuscarora 50 and Jim Nace Memorial National Open. . The event kicks off at 4 p.m. Lance Dewease, Brent Marks, Austin Hogue, Brock Zearfoss, Rodney Westhafer, Ryan Wilson, Nicole Bower and a host of other drivers will be in attendance.

Weekend wrap-up: Rain halts NHRA Carolina Nationals

NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series - While the NHRA Safety Safari cleaned up an accident that happened during the first round of Pro Stock eliminations , the rains came to zMAX Dragway in Concord, North Carolina, causing the postponement of the remainder of the event until this weekend's AAA Texas NHRA FallNationals at Texas Motorplex near Dallas. The remaining eliminations for Top Fuel, Funny Car, Pro Stock and Pro Stock Motorcycle will be completed during qualifying on Friday and Saturday, September 19th and 20th.

Hessert wins in wild ARCA finish at Salem

Tom Hessert won for the fifth time in his career Saturday and third time at Salem Speedway, but it's safe to say he has never won like this before. Hessert grabbed the lead from Mason Mitchell with 12 laps to go, then held on and beat Mitchell despite both cars bouncing off each other and the wall coming out of the final turn of the 200-lap event.

Keselowski used a three-wide pass of Kyle Larson and Kevin Harvick at Chicagoland Speedway on Sunday to win the opening race of the Chase for the Sprint Cup championship. The victory automatically advances Keselowski into the second round of the 10-race Chase, which will eliminate four drivers every third race under NASCAR's new format.

Kyle Busch gets pole for Chase opener

With rain in Friday's forecast at Chicagoland Speedway, the time on the track became a strategy session for the championship contenders. It worked out perfectly for Kyle Busch , Ryan Newman and Carl Edwards , who all shot to the top of the speed chart in practice and were rewarded with the top three starting spots in Sunday's race when rain indeed washed out qualifying.
