Our Mariachi Azul Y Plata backed up Featured Vocalist Joe Anthony Perez at the beginning of the show followed by Mariachi Nuevo Royal de John Vela, UTPA University , and Mariachi Vargas de Tecalitlan .

Gilda biopic to star Nati Oreiro

One of Argentina's legendary "bailanta" singer-songwriters - the ill-fated Gilda, who died in a bus crash in 1997 while hitting the road for a concert tour - will finally get her due next year, when Uruguayan actress-singer Natalia Oreiro starts shooting Gilda. Oreiro, who has a surprising resemblance with Gilda depending on the camera angle and the outfits, will of course play the lead and sing Gilda's signature tunes like No me arrepiento de este amor, No es mi despedida and Corazn valiente, among many other hits that make up the canon of "bailanta" and tropical music repertoire.
