Los Angeles metal fans should know that Judas Priest is coming to rock the Nokia Theatre on Nov. 10, where the band will playing its hits as well as rolling out a new 3-CD set, "Redeemer of Souls." The band has been knocking around for more than 40 years, releasing their "Rocka Rolla" debut album in 1974.

We're definitely a hard rock/heavy metal band with a focus on writing good, quality songs.

Billboard reports that Megadeth will be unable to perform at Motorhead's Motorboat cruise, which is billed as "the Loudest Boat in the World", due to Dave Mustaine's recovery from back surgery. Megadeth said in a statement: " Due to complications arising from a previous cervical spine surgery, and upon his doctor's strict recommendations, Dave Mustaine has cancelled all performances for the next 8 weeks.

Southeastern to run service to 2018

A Javelin high-speed train run by the Southeastern rail company which will continue running services between London, Kent and parts of East Sussex until June 2018. A train company has been given the green light to carry on running commuter services until 2018 on routes where a rail minister admitted "passengers haven't always received the service that they deserve".

Bruce Dickinson is set to take to the skies as a German fighter pilot as part of First World War commemorations. The Iron Maiden frontman, a qualified pilot, will be flying his own replica Fokker Dr1 aircraft complete with Iron Cross insignia.

British transport group Go-Ahead annual profit rises 19 pct

British transport group Go-Ahead posted a 19 percent jump in annual profits as it carried more passengers on buses and trains and said it would raise its dividend amid confidence that it would meet its financial targets. Go-Ahead on Thursday reported operating profit of 103.2 million pounds for the twelve months to the end of June, compared with the 86.7 million pounds it made in the year-earlier period.
