Erin, it's better to work than not to work. You have to pay that mortgage regularly; creditors don't wait very long these days if you don't. Everyone remembers John Cusack in "The Grifters" and "Say Anything" and "High Fidelity," but he also labored in the teen-movie ghetto far too long for me to fault his choices these days.
