Carole King musical Beautiful has officially become a Broadway hit after recouping its $13 million initial investment in 10 months. The production hit the stage for previews at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre at the end of 2013 and has become one of New York's biggest shows, receiving rave reviews from King herself, who surprised the cast with a visit during an encore earlier this year .

U2 album will miss 2015 Grammys

U2's shock new album will not scoop a single Grammy Award next year because its official release date misses the honors deadline by two weeks. The Irish rockers thrilled fans on Tuesday when they announced a new record, Songs of Innocence, would be given away free to anyone who uses Apple's iTunes music downloading service.

U2 has won more Grammy Awards than any other band in history, 22, but the Irish rockers won't be taking home any trophies next year for their latest album, Songs of Innocence , which currently is being offered for free to everyone who has an iTunes Store account. That's because the record officially won't be released commercially until after the September 30 eligibility date for recordings to be nominated for the 57th annual Grammys, which will be handed out on February 8, 2015.

Serrat will be honored for his artistic and social accomplishments and his contributions to Latin culture at a tribute concert on Nov. 19 in Las Vegas, the day before The Latin Grammy Awards are held in the city. A Tuesday news release says friends and notable musicians will perform songs from Serrat's career with proceeds to benefit the Latin Grammy Cultural Foundation.
