The spectacle caused a ripple of excitement when it was staged last year as part of a comic convention, which regularly attracts hundreds to Maidstone. Organiser Graham Beadle of the Grinning Demon comic book shop in the arcade has arranged for Maidstone-based comic book legend Dan Abnett to attend along with other artists drawing requests including Lee Townsend and Clint Langley.

About a month ago, some of the producers involved with this February's young-adult fantasy flop Vampire Aademy started a campaign on the Kickstarter-like crowdfunding site Indiegogo in order to raise $1.5 million in order to presumably produce a sequel, Frostbite . The Mark Winters-directed and Daniel Winters-written adaptation of the Richelle Mead novel was distributed by Weinstein Company and mostly-hidden from critics film.

Dredd 2 Probably Won't Be A Direct Sequel
If there was a song title that succinctly summed up the collective Dredd fans' point-of-view on a possible sequel, it would be Journey's "Don't Stop Believing." Because dammit, we want to see this thing get made! Does it matter what storyline the filmmakers end up going with? Not really, as long as an actual storyline exists.

"Dredd 2" To Be A Prequel, Not A Sequel?
In spite of its $35 million worldwide haul, fans are still keen on seeing a sequel to 2012's "Dredd," the Karl Urban-led film adaptation of the "Judge Dredd" comics. Urban himself has said on a number of occasions it could happen some day, others involved have been as hopeful but more realistic about the likelihood being slim to none.
