We were reporting back in August that Paul W.S. Anderson, the mastermind behind 2008's schlocky Death Race , was planning a prequel for the film.

The original Death race 2000 was released in 1975 and starred David Carradine as the title character, Frankenstein and Sylvester Stallone as Machine Gun Joe Vertibo.

A few of our friends are currently up in Toronto visiting the set of Resident Evil: Afterlife , which is being directed by Paul W.S. Anderson , and they got some updates on various projects that he's either directing or producing.
