Greta Gerwig stars as Frances, an apprentice in a dance company who wants so much more than she has but lives life with unaccountable joy and lightness.

After reuniting with her "Greenberg" director Noah Baumbach for the quirky comedy "Frances Ha" she's reluctant to be too closely associated with the Oscar-nominated filmmaker, also her boyfriend.

Frances Ha is all about Greta Gerwig. She cowrote and stars in the black-and-white coming-of-age story from director Noah Baumbach, who's known for being the man behind the lens on previous movies The Squid and the Whale and Greenberg .
