Los Angeles Dodgers to announce affiliation with OKC RedHawks on Wednesday

The Los Angeles Dodgers will announce at a Wednesday morning press conference at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark that they are shifting their Triple-A affiliation to Oklahoma City. Scheduled speakers include Dodgers President Stan Kasten and 86-year-old Hall of Fame legend Tommy Lasorda, who managed the Dodgers for 20 seasons.

Dodgers extend affiliation with Class-A Rancho Cucamonga

The Dodgers have renewed their player development contract with the Class-A Rancho Cucamonga Quakes through 2016, the Quakes announced on Monday. The Dodgers have been affiliated with the Quakes since the 2011 season, and the 2014 season was the most star-studded year of the partnership with California League MVP Corey Seager at shortstop for Rancho Cucamonga for 80 games, as well as 17-year-old left-handed pitcher Julio Urias lighting up players three to five years older than him all season.

Clayton Kershaw struck out nine over eight strong innings to pick up his major league-leading 19th win of the season, as the Los Angeles Dodgers held off the San Francisco Giants, 4-2, in the rubber match of a three-game series. Kershaw won his fifth straight start after giving up two runs on seven hits for the Dodgers, who lead San Francisco by three games for first place in the NL West.
