P. J. Walters allowed just one run in six innings, and Joe Benson and Nate Hanson had key hits to help the Red Wings defeat the Columbus Clippers 5-4 on Sunday afternoon at Frontier Field.

Nathan Hanson went 2-for-5 with a home run and three RBI and P.J. Walters won his third straight start as the Rochester Red Wings held on for a 7-6 victory over the Columbus Clippers at Huntington Park.

Trailing Columbus by a run, the RailRiders had a runner on base, and slugger Dan Johnson digging into the batter's box.

Class AAA: Toledo 3, Columbus 1 Clippers starting pitcher Daisuke Matsuzaka allowed two runs on two hits and eight walks in four innings of the loss to the host Mud Hens.
