warner robins grew too fast and left the little bit of what was called downtown way back.
the area that use to be is now all rundown--and you sure wouldn't go there at night.. even little cities of Thomaston, Griffin and even macon have downtown areas.. warner robins, never did I guess.. |

I agree, who cares. We get business done with what we have now right? Besides, everyone knows downtown is the base.:)

What would be the point of a "downtown" in Warner Robins? Most cities that have a "downtown" don't shop there anyway and if you look at most southern cities that at one time had "downtowns", most are like ghost towns. Dilapidated buildings, no parking etc. No one shops the Perry "downtown" area but local wannabe socialites that go there more to socialize than shop. People are scared to walk downtown Macon at night. What makes anyone think that a "downtown" in Warner Robins is needed or would be an asset. The theory of a "downtown" doesn't work in today's fast-paced society.
