Typhoon Hits Las Vegas
The Eurofighter Typhoon is a highly agile aircraft, designed to be an effective dogfighter when in combat with other aircraft; later production aircraft have been increasingly more well-equipped to undertake air-to-surface strike missions and to be compatible with an increasing number of different armaments and equipment. The Typhoon saw its combat debut during the 2011 military intervention in Libya with the Royal Air Force and the Italian Air Force, performing reconnaissance and ground strike missions.

Study finds high hunger rate in Southern Nevada
A study released Thursday found that roughly 15.7 percent of Southern Nevadans go hungry, slightly below the national average of 15.9 percent. The Map the Meal Gap 2014 study by Feeding America, with participation locally from the Three Square Food Bank, estimated that 315,790 Southern Nevadans have trouble finding their next meal.

Group: Airman denied reenlistment for refusing to say 'so help me God'
Airmen take the Oath of Enlistment during a reenlistment ceremony in December 2013, shortly after the Air Force deleted a clause allowing airmen to omit 'so help me God,' from the oath. An airman at Creech Air Force Base, Nevada, was denied reenlistment for crossing out those words on his reenlistment contract.
