Has nothing to do with your sexuality. It has to do with your attitude.  (Friday Dec 18 | post #242)

I have nothing but love for those who work in the healthcare industry. My mother was a nurse for 40+ years.  (Thursday Dec 17 | post #170)

Senator DeMint: "Gay President Would be Immoral"

That is why I said "likely" . It's true 9 times out of 10Declaring it a choice is one of the main arguments against equal rights for Gays. You yourself describe it as a "behavior " which sounds a lot like "choice" . Maybe that was not your intention, but that is how it comes off. I agree that most people don't care. They just think it's "yucky" and therefore "immoral " or "Against nature" or "a sin" or what have you.  (Wednesday Dec 16 | post #307)

I guess we are not going to agree on this point. If a church wants to be a business, I think they should follow the laws of the land. If they craft an appropriate exemption and not a blanket "hey you churches can do anything you want in terms of gay folk" then I could easily get on board. I just hesitate to give the church a free pass to do as they please in all aspects of society.  (Wednesday Dec 16 | post #141)

Senator DeMint: "Gay President Would be Immoral"

Noooo, I said that I have my opinions, but I am not strict and pigheaded about it that I am not open to discussion and compromise. Your "moral decision" is that you are not gay (and likely also believe that it was a choice). To tell me I am immoral and do not deserve equal treatment under the law and your unwillingness to budge on the subject is bigotry. See the difference?  (Wednesday Dec 16 | post #287)

One lone person making a frivolous lawsuit proves nothing. Show me one that has some form of legitimate movement behind it. This case will be thrown out very fast.  (Wednesday Dec 16 | post #134)

There was a specific agreement with the state as part of NJs Green Spaces initiative. The agreement was that they had to make the land available for use by the public. Last time I checked I was still part of the public so I don't see why they are making such a stink about it.  (Wednesday Dec 16 | post #132)

So basically you are advocating allowing the churches to exist outside the law. They can do anything they want in the name of religious beliefs and not have any legal ramifications? They can discriminate in use of PUBLIC property, and can violate employment law? I already gave you an example of why a Gay person might seek employment with a church organization. Just because you and I think it is a waste of time does not mean everyone else agrees.  (Wednesday Dec 16 | post #131)

Standing by a stupid statement does not make it any less stupid. But bravo on your ability to hold your ground even when it is falling out from under you.  (Wednesday Dec 16 | post #275)

That would be the dictionary definition actually. I am not intolerant nor obstinate in my opinions. I am more than willing to discuss my opinions and am open to having them changed.  (Wednesday Dec 16 | post #274)

Fair Game how? The law is the law. If they disagree with it they can try to have it changed. That is exactly what we are doing.  (Tuesday Dec 15 | post #113)
