A four-year-old boy has died after being attacked by a dog in W...
You mean the dog? Too late now, the police shot the animal after he killed the boy and injured the lady trying to save him. No need to prove a dead dog guilty. But you can still consider him innocent, for what it's worth. (Yesterday | post #2)
How Can We Still Trust the Climate Scientists?
These scientists are only concerned with evidence and scientific theory. Not God's plan to have Republicans run the United States in perpetuity. Scientists are obviously not to be trusted with science. (Yesterday | post #16)

Historic health care bill clears Senate hurdle
Thank you for the information. I never considered forming a corporation. I will look into this. Though, in principle, I still support increased access to health care. (Monday Nov 23 | post #183)
Historic health care bill clears Senate hurdle
Looks like I might be able to buy a health care plan for my wife on the private market soon. Right not it's impossible because she has a pre-existing condition. Her condition is she has constant nausea and doesn't eat much so she's pretty thin. If I could get health insurance for her, I could work as a contractor, or start my own business, or go to a startup that doesn't want to pay for insurance. My options will be more open than they are now. (Sunday Nov 22 | post #44)
California sets limits on energy-gulping TVs
All the comments from out-of-staters are a crack up. Californians generally support saving energy policies, and policies to help with air and water pollution. Some of you act like saving energy is pure evil. Maybe that's why you hate the Prius, and CF lighting, and Energy Star washers. In California we like washers that use one fifth the water of the older ones. We commute long distances so we like cars that get 40 mpg. And we don't like rolling brown outs, so we don't like inefficient TVs. I realize I'm not speaking for all Californians, but judging by who we elect and their views, I am speaking for the majority of Californians. (Friday Nov 20 | post #10)

That fu##er! We hate the Vietnamese, Koreans, and Japanese in that order! I don't care how much money they make us. I only care that we fought wars against them. That's why the English are the worst! (Tuesday Nov 17 | post #2)
Ten-year-old Won't Recite Pledge Until Gays Can Marry
Exactly. I hate left-handed freaks. I teach my kids to kick their ass. It's in the Bible there somewhere. (Tuesday Nov 17 | post #467)
Uninsured ER patients twice as likely to die
MSNBC?! Affiliated to Microsoft?! To be a true Christian American you must only use a Mac or Linux. Wait. Apple is a "green" company and Linux guys are a bunch of commies. OK. Only listen to the radio! (Monday Nov 16 | post #65)
Ten-year-old Won't Recite Pledge Until Gays Can Marry
Just curious. But would it be child abuse to read Genesis 19 to a 4th grader. You know. The one where Lot escapes the wickedness Sodom only to find a cave where he knocks up his two underage daughters? (Monday Nov 16 | post #53)

New Dollar Coins a Conspiracy: Palin
Exactly! It was a McCarthy era knee jerk reaction to the Red Scare. In Joe's effort to quell communism, he actually pushed to the U.S. closer to religious fascism. And we're still seeing the effects today. (Tuesday Nov 10 | post #86)
New Dollar Coins a Conspiracy: Palin
I said Lincoln. I think I'm right about that, but maybe not. It was kind of a play on words. Even though I was raised Catholic, I don't adhere to any organized religion now, and I abhor religious rhetoric by politicians. I consider it pandering to the Christian Right Wing and disingenuous. The founding fathers, for all their faults, specifically made constitutional provisions for separation of church and state. Unprecedented in history at the time, and genius to this day. The fact that a non-Christian has no chance to win high office in the United States really bothers me. In some ways, we have regressed from the founding fathers ideals. (Tuesday Nov 10 | post #84)
