St. Christopher kicks off fiesta today :: The SouthtownStar

Wow! I think there are now 6 registered "dogs", if I count correctly. ie. "the midlothian watchdog", "the midlothian_watchdo g", "the real midlothian watchdog", "the real midlothain_watchdo g", "el real midlowatchdog ", and now this idiot above me, plus all the "unregistered " ones. Someone/people need to get life.  (Jul 22, 2009 | post #26)

No Love for New 'Love' Hotel

Would that really be so bad? :):)..........Ya know in retrospect I probably shouldn't of picked the name I did, but oh well it would be silly to change now. Sorry to cause the confusion. I did it as a joke b/c when I first discovered topix a few people were "wondering " in the midlothian thread, so it only seemed fitting. I didn't intend to pull a "dog" type stunt, similiar to what's been going on since summer started. I do hope to get to the village meeting one of these days and meet some of you guys, but my 2nd shift schedule makes it difficult.  (Jul 22, 2009 | post #74)

Should "slum lords" be put in prison??

I hate to get back to the insult trading, but sometimes I think you could really use a Valium. I mean I agree with you on this matter, but please; calm down. I know the guy called you a dummy, but who cares? Don't sink down to their level. Just ignore 'em. I mean it's obvious you care about the community, and even if we may have disagreements on how to go about actually doing it, don't you think people might give your idea's more of a shot if you didn't get so worked up all the time?  (Jul 14, 2009 | post #8)

Will Judge Sotomayor's appointment be a mistake?

I don't she could be any more of a mistake than all the other justices that have sat on the supreme court. (maybe a few exceptions)  (Jul 14, 2009 | post #1)

Mc Donalds

I think you're over reacting. I'm not sold on Sotamoyar either, but I think it's a stretch to call her a racists. I heard her comments, and while I don't agree with them I think they were taken out of context by political opportunists. I've been watching the hearings all morning between this thread and my homework, and the second amendment case that she referred to in the hearing this morning didn't really leave her a lot of wiggle room because of the prior case that was already settled by the supreme court. Ironically, the opinion/precedent that she was forced to conform to was actually written by Bush appointee, Anthony Scalia. I realize that most of the conservatives out there don't follow bush in lock step, but it's interesting none the less.  (Jul 14, 2009 | post #94)

Even if what you say is true, what's you're point? I mean, shouldn't the responsible parties be held financially liable?  (Jul 13, 2009 | post #60)
