Church of Scientology opens new D.C. home
It's usually the way. Jeff Stone for example, though he's not a congressman. Yet. (Tuesday Nov 10 | post #3)
I know the dark side of Scientology...I almost lost my friend t...
Amazing Article. Could be worth following. (Tuesday Nov 10 | post #1)
wow, that's pretty well harpooned blog already. Reminds me though of something. I'm pretty sure it's the style of the old ARS handler, Trough Slurper...sorry, Truth-Seeker. But then, one programmed, brainwashed OSAbot is much like another. (Friday Nov 6 | post #2)
Blown for Good: Behind the Iron Curtain of Scientology
There's always Amazon, Bane. I myself don't buy things over the net generally. Supporting local commerce and all that. One exception's stuff from Australia, strangely. Aussie's seem to make amazing liquorice for some reason. BFG's book should be amazing. It's already had some good write-ups in the media. It seems that the press are paying more attention to what people like Marc have to say and less to the mindless press releases and standing denials of the cult of scientology. The COfS has lost it's power to intimidate. (Friday Nov 6 | post #5)
QUOTE who="Gold Mask"]<quo ted text> Dontchya just wanna dance a little jig to how the cult of scientology are just drowning in all the entheta and bad press? LMAO!! And, the best trolls and clams can do is rate my posts poorly. BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA AAAAA[/QUOTE] It's true. Their whole response is basically to put their fingers in their ears and run in circles shouting "blah, blah, blah! I can't hear you!" The few of them who aren't are channelling their failure rage into their keyboards, spamming up the forums with nonsense. It's terribly sad. Poor CofS. How easily and far you fall as you desperately try to avoid the truth. (Friday Nov 6 | post #63)
Always good to hear from Paulette Cooper. Sea Org down to a third of its number? Sounds good to me. As another poster over there pointed out, even if the report isn't accurate, the fact the people who are in are saying this sort of thing is amazing. The walls are coming down. (Friday Nov 6 | post #4)
How is that? What has Islam done wrong? The faith of Islam has committed no evil as far as I'm aware. Yes, some people have committed crimes in it's name, but can be said of any religion. At no level can CofS practices be compared to Islam. Islam is free to anyone who asks about it. You can get all of the teachings of Islam without any charge. You can take part in Islamic services for free, hear the deepest beliefs of Islam for free. You can believe in Islam for free. This is the same for all legitimate religions. With the CofS, nothing is free. The deepest beliefs will cost you hundreds of thousands of dollars to reach. Auditing, books, courses, cds all cost ridiculous sums of money which have to be paid. Scientology enlightenment has been known to cost people their savings, their homes, their very lives. This is why the "church" of scientology has been convicted of fraud in France. Oh and before you start the inevitable "tithe" argument that everyone here just knows you're going to try, any legitimate religion that asks for donations asks for just that. Donations. Voluntary payments to charity or help the parish survive. You don't have to pay. Not only that but if you choose not to pay, you STILL receive everything that a person who pays does. EVERYTHING. The CofS has been proven to be fraudulent by a French court of law. That's because it is NOT like other faith groups. (Wednesday Nov 4 | post #25)
Pretty strange stuff. An excellent example of the devious and vicious lengths that the CofS will go to to try silence it's critics. This and Operation Freakout pretty much sum up the cult. (Wednesday Nov 4 | post #2)
Why? What have French Muslims done? Now the Cult of scientology on the other hand has committed fraud and been found guilty of it. That's the merest of what they've been upto. This thread is kind of irrelevant anyway since France does not have the capacity in law to dissolve the organisation and bannign the group would force them to continue in the shadows, as the Judge rightly pointed out. Which you'd know if you'd read the article. (Wednesday Nov 4 | post #22)
The "Good News" Just Keeps Coming for OSA
Awesome report. Covers some of the book's excellent material but leaves you wanting to read it more. BFG will be getting a lot of threats from the cult for this. But then he's used to that. (Wednesday Nov 4 | post #2)
Exactly. It's funny how the cult leadership always claims that critics and ex-members are against the beliefs when the simple fact is that the only group to have tried to prevent scientologists following their beliefs is the CofS, every time they've tried to stop groups like the Freezone. We are against the frauds and abuses perpetrated by the criminal organisation led by David Miscavige. (Wednesday Nov 4 | post #45)
Protester Sues Church Of Scientology
No they really don't. What is it about legitimate questions and free speech that scientology really objects to? For a group that claims to promote freedom, they sure go far out of their way to put a stop to it. (Tuesday Nov 3 | post #3)
http://www.tampaba y.com/specials/200 9/reports/project/ Yup, the new vid is a doozy. The times is just wiping the floor with the cult of scientology. (Monday Nov 2 | post #2)
Scientology: The truth rundown & David Miscavige
This has been updated. "chased by their Church" is the new article with video. It describes how the cult has been known to investigate, harass and drag back people who leave. Interviews with ex-members including former chief of security Gary Morehead who was personally responsible for forcefully retrieving at least 75 people. (Monday Nov 2 | post #4)
Did Scientology play a role in Australian suicide?
Yup. Another death linked with scientology. There's a lot of suicide and death around this organisation. I find it very curious also how their efficiency in handing out changes according to situation. What are you hiding, Slappy Miscavige? (Monday Nov 2 | post #2)
