We are in need for Christmas for our children
perhaps look into freecycle. I would have to think that both washtenaw and wayne have them. I am on 3 freecycles and there are tons of things that people give away. BUT if you really want the spirit of Christmas have you looked into getting your children to a church for Christmas festivities? Get involved with church and not just to have gifts under a tree? Maybe teach them that the spirit of Christmas is more than presents? Wrap their favotite drink to unwrap Just a thought. (5 hrs ago | post #4)
have been there and no problems. I would like to know how you know she is out smoking every 15 mins. do you get in and out in that amount of time or do you look around look for her and figure it out? You do realize most of those stores are way under employed and that LEGALY you are supposed to get an uninterupted 15 min break. If you don't like that DG it isn't like there isn't another to go to....crimany they are on every block. (5 hrs ago | post #10)

The good ole crossville cry...."you don't live here why do you care" which is right up there with "why don't you go back to where you came from" Disagree and they toss out one or the other chants.... (Oct 19, 2009 | post #29)

What's going in the old Goody's building?
The signage is the same for the burkes as the bealls outlet here. We also have reaL Bealls. Bealls would be comparable to a Peebles. But the outlet store sell stuff from all different stores. It really would not be a close out sale (like big lots) but more like stuff other stores couldn't sell. They have everything from Gloria Vanderbilt to Walmart stuff. They have do- dads for the home, shoes, kids clothes etc. Pretty much a midge podge of things. they also have "DOT sales that go from 10% to 95% off. Then the under 49 club and I think an over 50 club that gets you another 10% off purchases a certain day. THEN...they also have a punch card that after a certain amount of punches you get another 10% off that purchase....I swear sometimes you you found the right bargains, you almost think that they will have to give you money back!!!! My mother is in assisted living and that is where I buy all her everrday clothes. I mean the stuff gets stained with luck after a couple wears. The MOST I have paid for a pair of capri's for her is 12. 99. Most are 9.99 and then some of them have had dots on them. I personally would wait after the store is oponed for a while and the novelty to wear off before I ventured in. Bt that is just me. (Oct 8, 2009 | post #8)
What's going in the old Goody's building?
The only problem is, since it is going to be the only one around, you are going to have to be johhny on the spot to find anything decent. We have several Beall's Outlets, so it isn't a finght and claw thing. Anyway, it is nice to know that there will something in the building instead of anotherr empty store. (Oct 8, 2009 | post #6)

Why did you call the poster an "inconsiderat e FOOL" This IS a thread about the Flu is it not? I happen to agree with the post. Another HUGE HUGE germ carrier is money. Is everyone disinfecting the dollar bill when they get one? I bet not. then you give the dollar to more than likely Mcdonalds, who takes it...DOESN"T wash the hands or change a glove after taking it and then goes and gets your food touching the wrappers and more than likely a fry or two. How about those lids that go on the Super Size cup? Think those are sanitary? (Oct 7, 2009 | post #20)
