I believe every one has an opinion and all opinions are valuable, there is never a bad question only questions that sometimes never get answered.

Does the Olympics promote racism.
You have many countries going up against each other America against China, and Etc. Does this in an underlying sense seem like a form of Racism. The question was brought up at a week end coffee meeting, just thought I would ask america what they think. (Tuesday Aug 19 | post #1)
There is Everything Wrong with Abortion
Males point of view: True I am not a women and do not feel that abortion is an answer to anything yet I will say this, the woman’s body is not mine and I have no control over what she may do with her body nor will I stand in judgment of any women that may make that decision to abort. Is Pro-Choice the same as Pro-Abortion? Pro-life people say "abortion is bad". Pro-abortion people say "abortion is good". Pro-choice advocates say "The government should be making personal decisions like that ". It's not about abortion. It's about who gets to make the decisions. If you take this choice away then take away the right to vote, to have children in the first place, take away all rights and liberties. About at this moment I can hear the boo’s emanating all across the readership, if a women asked me to pay for an abortion it would be like me paying a hit man to off someone and at no point would I do that. Do you really want to abdicate that much of your personal freedom and choice to a group of politicians or preachers? Do people really want to live in a country where state legislatures can decide who can be pregnant, and who cannot, and who must? Do people really have that much trust and faith in government that they think the legislature will always make the right choices? Because we'll be stuck with those decisions. most people would not choose to have an abortion but think that it should be available to those who need it or want it. If you don't like abortions, don't have one. (Tuesday Aug 12 | post #22258)
Illegals have a right in america just like anyone else
The America that no longer believes in skilled labor. The America that doesn’t want to keep those educated in its esteemed universities secured within its boundaries. The America that has no room for visionaries like Albert Einstein who redefined the meaning of science and defined the basis of modern day technology. This America my friend is the America defined by the comprehensive immigration reform bill scheduled to be introduced in the senate shortly. The Bill in its current form focuses purely on legalizing immigrants who illegally crossed into American borders at the cost of those who came to this country legally, spent their time and money seeking education in American universities and have been contributing to the economy of this country by paying income taxes, social security taxes, medicare taxes and any other form of imaginable taxes imposed by US government A lot of these skilled non resident legal aliens are currently deeply affected by a condition called “Green card Retrogression” - What Green card retrogression implies is that 140,000 immigrant visas issued by US government every year in skilled labor categories aren’t sufficient for all non resident aliens who are currently working in US and are seeking permanent residency. As a result these people now have to wait more than 5-7 years before they can get their Green cards. During this period, these people cannot change jobs and are at a complete mercy of their employers. Their spouses cannot work as they are typically on dependent H4 visas that doesn’t permit employment and therefore are confined to the four walls of their homes even if they have graduate degrees. The spouses are under a permanent house arrest till the primary applicant gets his or her Greencard. This leads to a lot emotional and financial tension for tax paying, hardworking skilled people who contribute everyday to the American economy through their visionary ideas. However, the America of the comprehensive reform bill has no empathy for these people and it intends to worsen their lives by reducing the number of immigrant visas for skilled people from 140,000 to 90,000. Moreover, the bill intends to increase the number of immigrant visas for illegal immigrants by a significant amount and issue them identification cards allowing them to work while spouses of legal skilled non immigrants sulk in confines of their homes now hoping to get a Greencard in 10 years instead of the usual, yet ridiculous 5. The offense of these people - They spent a large part of their childhood reading through textbooks, they waited tables and worked their way through college and grad school. They spent a large portion of their youth building products like Microsoft Excel, Windows, Google Search, YouTube. Above all their biggest offense - They came to America on a plane instead of crossing a barbed wire fence. So my friend that was a glimpse of the 21st century America, the America that wants its lawn mowed for $5 instead of finding a breakthrough environment friendly fuel. The America that wants to save money on growing potatoes instead of funding research for the HIV vaccine. The America that was built by its visionaries who focused on skills and education no longer recognizes them, the America of 21st century has forgotten Einstein and is clearly following the tail of the Gaussian curve. So save your “Invented in America” stamps and tuck them away for soon they may be hard to find. Let me send my patents home and trade my degrees for a lawn mower and a barbed wire fence. For you don’t feel the need to evolve any more. You have found bliss in your mashed potatoes after all. (Friday Aug 8 | post #627)
Illegals have a right in america just like anyone else
The Cost of Amnesty of illegals by big business and the federal politicians,The Social Security cards that illegals are currently using if linked to American citizens then in the future the card could become null and void and all monies paid into SS will no longer be obtainable by either persons using the number. The dollars or tax money now becomes the property of the federal government and is lost, I guess that is also why the big push for amnesty of illegals by big business and the federal politicians. So again some unsuspecting american loses. (Friday Aug 8 | post #626)

Centerpoint Properties participated in a downtown Chicago fundraiser for Larry Walsh at the Chicago Yacht Club less than a month ago. In addition, according to campaign disclosure reports filed with the Illinois State Board of Elections, Walsh has received more than $6,000 in campaign contributions from the combined donations of Centerpoint’s political arm and its CEO, Michael Mullen. The most recent contribution of $1,000 came on June 30, 2008. http://willcountyw atcher.wordpress.c om/2008/07/23/comm ent-by-dan-kenniso n-now-will-county- news/ (Jul 26, 2008 | post #12)
Despite all the noise, we are now a faceless society that finds little or no authentic meaning within ourselves or others. This plainly human problem of society has crushed individualism and free thinking this must be understood before we can fix what is wrong with America. The Left and Right wing would tell you as a voter who to vote for and how to think, think back to days of yesterday when the Democratic party stood for the working class, when did the democratic party become the predominate supporter for Illegals, welfare, and anything that circumvents our rights as a nation. So in short if it feels good do it, If I have my rights by taking yours away that’s virtuous The Marxist theory, lets go back to overly simplifying the reason why communism can’t work…When a nation feeds within it’s self that nation folds, Democratic communism is on the rise, true?. Mostly the majority of Democrats like the whole idea of a communist system or more government, by labeling social programs and anything else as charity and willfully accept loss of liberty, you have a multitude of people that have hands extended yet many care nothing of what the loss is in obtaining charity, rights are lost. Would the oligarchy/elite gracefully bow down and accept defeat? I think history now shows that they’d rather be politically correct and relinquish power then to think for them selves or be an individualist as a centrist would do. Obama’s somebody who represents something that should be both quintessentially American and quintessentially African-American yet his own theories seem to lean towards Separation and Grant giver to the world without forethought of his own people and his own nation, the wall came down in Berlin and was rebuilt here under a different name called “Democrat” July 11, 2008 @ 2:56 pm Today Obama said we all as Americans should learn Spanish…..Not even in office yet and wanting to tell us what to do..
