Exotic raccoon gets stay of execution
I have had a family of coons, mom and two kids, come up to my deck in my back yard since early summer. They usually come up to the sliding door to look in a couple times a week just after dark. Going against my best judgment I eventually put out some water and a little peanut butter. As they are enjoying their simple dinner they seem curious as to whats going on inside. Like the tables are turned and I am the zoo exhibit and they are the family stuffing their face while trying to understand the bumbling doofus behind the glass. After a while they turn around, all at once, and disappear into the night. The kids have grown from little, tiny babys to big, round, masked examples of their mother. I'll admit when they stop coming I'll be a little bummed. (Saturday | post #16)

Obama will be on "This Week". Biden will be on "Meet the Press". McCain will be on "Face the Nation". Palin....? Usuaually the week after the conventions the partys will showcase their candidates on the Sunday morning talk shows. This year Palin is M.I.A. Why is this? McCain's campaign manager says they will only put her on the talk show network if it serves their best interest. So a speech taken right off a teleprompter is in their best interest but questions from a reporter is not? Seems like they dont have a whole lot of confidence in their newly chosen golden girl.
