Good Job Atlanta

Atlanta, Atlanta, Atlanta, this by far has been the most sensible thing (recall vote results) that I have ever seen here in this town and probably be the most accurate at the same time. I have been witnessing the evolvement of the committee and this community. I donít believe that it tore Atlanta apart as much as it drew it closer together. It was the fairest results anyone could ask for. Rose, enough said enjoy your political retirement. Bonnie, congratulations, even the recall committee didnít want to recall you, but because of the closed meetings act felt that they had no other choice but to do it. They always felt you had the best interest of Atlanta at heart but were too influenced by Rose. Jim, you should see by your results that this town has mixed emotions about you (it would have been a tie if my friends car hadnít broke down in Alpena). This should tell you that you are hardly a majority choice so clean up your act and lets get the job done. John, youíve kind of been the scapegoat here but so be it. You didnít want the recall but I still feel that this town will get stronger because of it. Only time will tell. The problem is gone now, can you pull Atlanta out of the 1960ís and move forward? Good luck Dale, I donít believe I heard anyone blame you for the recall, if they did Iím sorry. Again The problem is gone now, can you pull Atlanta out of the 1960ís and move forward? Good luck My question to Atlanta is. You stepped up to the plate yesterday, are you ready to get the job done and improve this community or just plant a R.I.P. Atlanta cross in Briley Twp. Park? Jump on board and helpÖÖÖÖ.  (Aug 3, 2011 | post #1)

I'm not saying that this isn't justified but it's time to move forward, and leave the past behind. Voter has not been nice but we don't have to stoop to his level.  (Aug 3, 2011 | post #2)

Many new businesses popping up in Hillman.

You people should feel fortunate that you have a progressive acting government in Hillman. They have taken the right steps with putting in a DDA in place there to improve your community environment. When people see that kind of positive attitude for their town people invest which all helps everybody prosper. Every dollar that you can keep in your community and is not spent elsewhere helps your own economy prosper. If Atlanta doesnít do something fast it will be a ghost town shortly because our township board is so backwards that we will be lucky to ever dig out of the hole that they have put us in. Maybe this recall thatís going on will take care of our problems finally.  (Jul 24, 2011 | post #6)

Will you vote Bonnie Flynn out in August?

I always made excuses for her because I always thought Bonnie was just being behind the eight ball being related to Rose and on the board together. BUT now seeing how vindictive she is since the recall started I really have to wonder. Bonnie, you brought this upon yourself, nobody put you here so face up to the facts  (Mar 23, 2011 | post #13)

Will you vote Rose Cheadie out in August?

Rose will be Rose and will never change, even when she is caught she continues to lie and deceive  (Mar 23, 2011 | post #10)

Will you vote Jim Sipe out in August?

Maybe but, Jim has his own agenda trying to keep Atlanta behind the times. This was especially evident when his wife was on the county com. Between the 2 of them they voted down anything that could improve Atlanta.  (Mar 23, 2011 | post #11)

Are you really Anonymous on Topix?

To a point correct, mostly uneducated to the facts is probably the best way to say it  (Mar 14, 2011 | post #24)

Is There or Isn't There

There was a meeting Tuesday evening at the senior center and was quite interesting. DNR was there and admitted that there were indeed wolves here. A lady north of town said that she had seen them stalking her horses. They average 4.6 wolves per pack. They never gave a figure that I heard of how many there were in the lower. All they could give were the stats of the UP.  (Mar 13, 2011 | post #17)

Proposed Downtown District Authority

You sure are barking up the wrong tree. This is a moral issue not a legal one. Them breaking the law brought attention to the people and made them realize that enough is enough. The BIG3ís attitudes and actions have been deplorable and wrong. Legal action is not needed and would be redundant. We just need them ďGoneĒ  (Mar 10, 2011 | post #544)
