USACE RAB Meeting October 14th, 2009 @ KCT Hall 6:30pm

United States Army Corps of Engineers Restoriation Advisory Board of the former Kincheloe Airforce Base Meeting will be held on October 14th, 2009 at the Kinross Charter Township hall at 6:30pm. This is a great time for those in our community to come and learn and express their opinions. Possible Alternative Energy Plant Coming To Chippewa County

State and the Federal Gov't have specific restrictions on what can be cut and when. There will not be mass clear cutting or anything of that sort.  (Oct 2, 2008 | post #5)

Should we start a "Community Day(s)

We could do community events at the Rec center, for example i know in the past we did inter departmental softball games and included all departments of the township, Rec, DPW, Fire, EMS, Police, Twp Hall, etc.. I could also see us doing a Firemans Games similar to what is held in sault ste marie, pickford, and brimley each year. It would be excelent if we could combine a whole lot of activities over a whole week. Possibly have a parade, and get as many local groups involved as possible.  (Aug 7, 2008 | post #2)

What about the KIDS in Kincheloe?

You know, it doesn't matter who is in office, someone is gonna have some kind of dirt on them, or some reason they dislike that person. I see it even now, with persons running for office that they alone cannot change 99% of the issues they are stating they can change. But they say it because if they say it enough we are the citizens believe it. Then they get into office. don't do it. or attempt it and fail miserably because they have no support from the other officials, and then come next election there out and in with the new. and you know when i went and sat at the meet the candidates. even though i felt it was way too short. I heard alot of what we want to do. but very little of what we have done. and that have done means alot expecially when your incumbent. One of the other things i noticed was there was very few public at the meet the candidates. that also is a factor. and i know for one that i would like to see more of these meetings possibly even now have atleast 2 seperate meetings divided by party affiliation.  (Aug 6, 2008 | post #15)

ok guys, we need not to be fighting on here. it you want to argue and fight. do it over an e-mail. But please do not do it on here. Regardless of what the rumors are that certain people control this forum. They do not. This forum is only controled by topix. as for the election results. That is a state/federal official status. No one person controls how that happens. Its all by the voters. And with so many close elections this year, i would not be suprised to see some write in campains.  (Aug 6, 2008 | post #13)
