Yes. Games such as these are wonderful chances for special needs children and there peers in school to work together to do great things. My daughter has had the chance to take part in different activites put on by the high school students in the district. I am very grateful for the work they do and the feeling of success the students and staff provide for the students participating in the games and other activities. Loved watching this story on the news. (Wednesday May 15 | post #5)
Over the years, I have had many citizens express the same thing to me about the Development. It was what was needed at the time. I am very happy with the progress Arnold has made as a result. (Monday May 6 | post #16)
I see someone has already come through and marked your comment as NUTS. Not understanding why. I also have difficult participating in all the fundraisers. I make my son pick one. I can see it hurts his feelings that he can not get all the little rewards offered, but what can I do. (Thursday May 2 | post #2)
New Arnold Ward 1 Councilperson
I was impessed he waited till after he election. He could have made the appoitment pior to the election to make sure his person got in. Instead he left it open until after the election. That way if Doris would have won, she could have appointed her choice. (Sunday Apr 28 | post #45)
Sorry Letusnamenames, I am a little confused here. You will not give the name you do business under, then you claim that if people do not look you up, it is their choice. HOw can we look you up if you do not give the name to look you up under? It is getting a little old and you are getting boring. (Friday Apr 26 | post #248)
Can ot say you are wrong about the desire of many to make the connection stay and having a cut through. People tried to sway me on the topic, but I did not know one person on Rosedale or Ozark who wanted that. (Sunday Apr 21 | post #134)
I do understand that there was a period in which we felt that the city would be able to utilize the the federal grant money to help lower the over all cost of the bridge project and thus lower the cost to you. However the cost that was added because of the grant requirements not only exceeded any benefit the grant provided, but raised the cost of the bridge project beyond the price agreed to by the orginal signers of the NID. If a settlement was made that helped you in the way I you were looking for then i am glad gor you. (Sunday Apr 21 | post #129)
At the time I left the Council in 2007, There had been no mention of a Forged Signature. I had other issues with the NID at the time I left the council, but the validity of the signatures was never an issue that was raised. If someone had not signed, but their name was on the document, why did they not come forward in the few years prior to 2008 to tell about this concerns? (Sunday Apr 21 | post #126)
Good Question. I know the answer on the City's part. The city has an insurance company that evaluates each case. If it will cost more to fight a case in court than it will to settle, then they suggest a settlement. If a city refuses to settle, then they are stuck with the cost of the case. If the insurance company says fight, they help pay the cost. So, if there is a settlement in a case, it is because the insurance company made a decision, I would guess based on what they had payed and expected to pay defending. But if someone actually expected a big payday if he won a case, why settle? (Friday Apr 19 | post #73)
Ron Counts Wins Back Arnold Mayoral Seat
I am not sure why someone would judge his post as nuts or clueless. Kayla was the young girl killed at the intersection of 141 and 61-67, prior to red light cameeras being installed. During the debates about the red-light cameras, there were harsh words said about the family that seem to have left harsh feelings. It is not nuts or clueless that this family would be happy to see Doris out of public office after such an issue. Often times you stance on issues like this is what defines you in the minds of many. I do remember Kayla. (Apr 4, 2013 | post #3)
Arnold Police Respond to Sign Fiasco at Polling Place
Does anyone have any more details on who these young people were or what took place. (Apr 2, 2013 | post #1)
You are correct. Election Day is going to be very intersting. Hearing from many people that have been reading about all the things going on at city hall. Impression is by many that something needs to be fixed. Still for Counts, but that does not mean Doris and friends have not mae this interesting. (Apr 1, 2013 | post #503)
Shaun Missey Suing Arnold Over Election Disqualification
Bill, With respect, with this being pending litigation, and you being a current sitting council person, is it appropriate or you to be discussing pending litigation in a public forum? You have also just claimed as a sitting council person that a very specific individual was discvered to hve stolen services. So, as a person of authority in this city, you have just publically named her as a thief without the benefit of a hearing or a trial. So, what would you say will be the cause of the next lawsuit. I think you just opened the city up or another one. Sometimes it is better to say less when you are in office, not more. Dave (Mar 31, 2013 | post #53)
Shaun Missey Suing Arnold Over Election Disqualification
Do not know enough about Missey's Tax activity to say. Only know what I have read in the paper, and learned through my years that there is always more to the story. I do know Ms. Waller has always tried to run her office fairly and takes her responsiblility to the city and citizens serously. I would suspect she felt their was cause to take the action she did. Mr. Missey is doing the right thing if he does not agree with her decision. Not knowing him, I have a great deal of respect for the decision he has made to stand up for what he feels is right. In the end, I am more intersted in hearing what the courts has to say at the outcome of this case, than I am in trying to cut either side down Dave (Mar 30, 2013 | post #47)
Shaun Missey Suing Arnold Over Election Disqualification
And this thread remains about Shaun Missey Suing Arnold of the Election Disqualification, where he is Suing Waller and Sweeney. While you have a lot to say about Counts in a thread that is not about Counts, the fact that you pick a Funny Little Name like "URA Ding Dong" helps prove the point that some that are so gung ho to support Doris are more that willing to insult, name call, and bully those that do not agree with them. Even when their disagreement is expressed in respectful ways. I am looking forward to seeing the outcome of the Shaun Missey case. I would love to know more details about who can and cannot be eliminated from the ballot and why. And yes, knowing and having had interactions with both candidates, I do support Mr. Counts for Mayor of Arnold. (Mar 30, 2013 | post #45)
