The truth: K-pop has failed in the USA and K-pop companies are desperately paying composers, choreographers etc. to try to cash in on the US market. Girls Generation on major networks? The last 5 minutes of Letterman...wow. Blunger Girls on TeenNick? One of the lowest rated shows that night on cable TV. K-pop is a failure. Basically K-pop has failed in the USA. JYP and the Wonder Girls have released songs that went nowhere and Girls Generation and 2NE1 have not done well either (Girls Generation even had a giant display in Times Square, but they BOMBED in the USA). The K-pop companies seem to have given up hope that K-pop as it exists in Korea can succeed in America.(Since most K-pop is plagiarized US pop anyway.) So they seem to be paying American song-writers and choreographers and producers to help them "Americanize " K-pop so that these companies can cash in on the mega-bucks in the states. But, are they also engaged in payola? For instance, why has Billboard magazine been bending over backwards to support JYPE and K-pop? Billboard had gone out of its way to promote the Wonder Girls. Billboard never received any compensation to do this? I find this hard to believe. And how in the world did the Blunder Girls get a TV movie on TeenNick? Is it inconceivable that Nick Cannon was paid money to air this TERRIBLE cable TV "movie." ?????? Why else would Cannon air anything this bad? And then how do we explain TV appearances by Girls Generation on two major American networks? Americans do not know who Girls Generation is nor do they care nor will they care. So who paid whom what to get these girls on TV? All of this really stinks. But then again, it's K-pop, so it's supposed to stink. (May 15, 2012 | post #1)

"Fake" reviews for Kristalbelli ?

There is a Korean pop music "mogul" who has been DESPERATELY trying to make money in America for several years now. He recently opened an over-priced restaurant on 35th street. He made a big deal about his new restaurant in the Korean press, even though he ignored talking about the fact that the city of NY shut down about half of the JYP building on 31st street because he illegally and dangerously housed the Wonder Girls there. (see link below) There is a web site called Yelp! People can post reviews of restaurants there. Kristalbelli - the over-priced slophouse - got some terrible reviews there! I looked up on Kristalbelli on Yelp and laughed my ass off. Yelp has a filter that removes obviously fake postings. They say that sometimes businesses pay people to put up positive postings. About HALF of the total postings to Yelp were, apparently, FAKE for Kristalbelli. You can read the fake ones by clicking on "read filtered messages." ALL of the fake postings gave Kristalbelli 5 out of 5 stars :P :P :P If you wanna read about the owners of Kristalbelli, you can click on these links.
