More minorities own their homes
Yeah, because all of those foreclosures out in Albertville, Orange County CA, and various gated communites accross the country are ALL black people. Oh, yeah, they're the ones who refied to pay off credit cards (the ones minorities don't get) or to buy boats and ATVs. yes, there are a lot of foreclosures in black, urban neighborhoods. What they don't tell you is that many of them were owned by WHITE landlords, who thought they'd get rich on renting property. Bought more than they could afford. EVERY GROUP is getting foreclosed on. Madison, Wis. / Video shows grenade tossed into prisoner's cell
Let's see, max security, waiting for trial for firearms (yes, it's him, WI circuit court access), and he provokes a fight with a guard. I don't work there, I don't know why the guard felt the need to use a stun grenade, but I don't doubt that it was justified. When your in prison, a good way NOT to get sprayed with rubber bullets is to listen when the guards tell you to do something. That's awesome, he probably used his $49K to buy the gun, and now we get to pay for him again (well, I get to, since I own property there). Friggin loser (Tuesday Nov 17 | post #21)

Agreed, but I think that's what adds to the horror, he was in the military, and probably used his military training/equipment to do it. How about showing him in jail? That would be even better. Now he'll get the best medical care available, because it's "wrong" to give a disabled person the death penalty. (Monday Nov 16 | post #107)

I would have to agree with you on that point, just shoot all MS13 gang members on sight, get rid of them all. It would be an inexpensive solution to the problem of MS13. However, I'd like to bring up 1. They are a US born gang, the gang started in CA, not in El Salvador. 2. The average Salvadorian wants nothing to do with this gang. They have homes and families just like us. This US born gang now forces them to ship their kids to the US to avoid forced recruitment. 3. The name "Walter" doesn't bring up the image of a first generation immigrant, I'd like to know if the subject of this story is a natural born citizen. Chances are, he is. (Monday Nov 16 | post #61)

The insurance industry estimates that over 70% of arson on residential properties is the fault of the homeowner. Either accident, or attempt to collect insurance monies. These types of crimes usually go up in a recession. That means for every 10 cases of arson, 7 are probably the fault of a homeowner. And yes, if an area has a higher % of any group, the % of crime committed in that area by that group will be higher. If an area is 90% white, about 90% of the crime committed in that area is going to be from white people. BTW, if you commit a serious enough crime, you DO get deported, even in St. Paul. Sanctuary doesn't mean from everything. I think their point was to not waste cop's time or harrass all hispanic citizens with immigration status if they simply got pulled over for a traffic ticket. I think you hit on it, that unemployment and low income cause crime, however you just sound ignorant blaming the crime on "illegals " Now that's one more thing that's their fault? Get serious, I'm willing to bet my house that most of the crime in that area is committed by fine, upstanding, naturalized citizens of the US. Illegals usually TRY to keep a job, more so than the welfare rats I used to work with over there who only work long enough to get an extension on their benifits. The more we blame the wrong source for all of our problems, the more we keep the problem going. If you keep blaming illegals for all of it, you overlook the REAL source of those problems. Unemployment, low income, high welfare rates all lead to high crime. Even when there are no illegals around. (Monday Nov 16 | post #58)

I know quite a few Arab Americans that have never read the Koran and they don't speak Arabic. Your race/national origin doesn't automatically qualify you as an expert. there are fanatics of every religion. Do you realize that if you "look" Arab, that all the people on here see you at the mall with your kids, or at the office, or driving, and say the same thing about you? Stereotyping works wonders. And you just add to it. How about not speculating, and only write what you know, not what you THINK. (Thursday Nov 12 | post #102)

Or, since they've been here for quite some time, own property, have citizen children, have ties to the community, etc, why not let them get their affairs in order, and since it's harder to find a job, decide to return to their home country. OR, ship them off, their kids go on welfare, their house goes into foreclosure and brings down YOUR property value, we pay out the wazoo for the flight and processing. Which one sounds better to you? Police: Drunken mother led chase, her two kids in tow
I hope they take her kids away. Rum in the diaper bag? Driving drunk with only ONE kid in a safety seat? Pot in the car? I'm all for legalization, but come ON, you don't drive if you're high, definitley not if your drunk, and you need some serious jail time if you do it with your kids in the car. She's d&^n lucky she didn't kill someone, or get into an accident and seriously injure her children. She doesn't deserve to be a parent, and I'm sure she has much more going on. I'd hate to see what her house/fridge look like. (Thursday Nov 12 | post #44)

I'm in the real world. Because I don't agree with dramatic, media grabbing raids on remote worksites I'm not in the real world? What did those raids accomplish? NOTHING. People sat in jail, at our expense, or on home monitoring, at our expense. Families were separated. Businesses closed down unexpectedley. Enitre towns economie's were ruined, and the CITIZENS of said towns ended up worse off. On the other hand, if you do it this way, it softens the bad effects for everyone inovled, and pushes people to move back to their own country. But we don't pay for it. What is so wrong with that? They are not eligible for any of the things you mentioned above. That is either a blatant lie, or your just really misinformed. Many of these people OWN their homes. Did you miss that part? (Wednesday Nov 11 | post #95)

Yes, all the problems of the world are the fault of immigrants. Because they're are lines out the door to fill those 1,250 jobs. REALITY CHECK: Jobs are still unfilled, company can't afford to pay a janitor $40K/year with full benifits, they want to pay fair market wage, and our fine citizens get more on welfare than fair market wage. Jobs unfilled. The people in our school system are citizens. More citizens than illegals receive welfare. Go take a look at your local welfare office, bet it isn't hispanics in the waiting room. Oh yes, they take ALL of our jobs. Gimme a break. They do support our SSA, but they don't talke ALL of our jobs. The majority of jobs they do take don't get many applicants. I know this from YEARS of hiring. We were paying well above minimum wage, but it wasn't some cushy easy job. Not too many gringo applicants, LOTS of hispanic applicants. LOTS. And we offered health insurance, so they wern't sucking our ERs dry either. (Wednesday Nov 11 | post #94)

They wern't allowed to fight at the beginning of t he war, and only after the US Governemnt needed a massive PR campaign to fix it's image after the internment camps. Quite a few of those medals were awarded YEARS later. Ask some of the parents whose sons died how much trouble they had even getting their bodies home. The US Army didn't extend full benifits to Japanese. Caucasian American soldiers also HATED that they were allowed in, in was a major issue for moral. Believe me, no one was ever made to read more history about WW2 than people in my family. My grandfather was in the Air Force during WW2, we we're Jewish, and WW2 is something of a family obsession. Uh, and for the people that keep saying I don't know anything about religion, I also had to go to church (gentile grandmother....) (Tuesday Nov 10 | post #100)

See, your definition of "true" Christianty. Not everyone's definition. I'm not going to debate religion with you, but every time the bible has been re-written through history, it was because of someone's interpretation. Unless you've seen cities turning to salt lately, I'd say most of it is INTERPRETED. Christianity is taught, by your pastor, priest, or whoever. They interrpret it for you. Your definition may be different than someone else's, other than YOUR opinion, what makes you right? The Koran DOES NOT ADVOCATE OR ENCOURAGE MURDER. Have you ever read it? Didn't think so. Do you read Arabic? Didn't think so. Do you take what some wacko publishes as his translation to be fact? I DO think so. True Muslims do not believe it's OK to kill anyone. Neither do true Christians. What influenced all the school shooters (Christian) to kill people? I'm sure it wasn't their religion. It's like a cascade effect also, when there is one mass shooting, several more always follow. (Tuesday Nov 10 | post #99)

Hey, dip stick, Obama's plan from the beginning was to "stop large scale raids that focused only on the workers, and that literally ripped families apart, and to focus on the companies that hired those employees." So, his policy is working, and your mad? What, if they aren'tbeing led away in handcuffs, put in jail for months, and separated from their kids, it's not good enough for you? No jobs means they'd leave on their own, not at our expense. (Tuesday Nov 10 | post #71)
