Hi everyone! I need a western show outfit or gaucho style show outfit quick! Is there somewhere in or close to Gainesville that carries this stuff? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you! (Sep 8, 2009 | post #1)
Lawsuit challenges motorsports park
I don't see where this interfers with the Hamryka's livelihood. He is a vet in Sugar Hill, doesn't even bring jobs into Dawson County, and the horse farm is not really a farm. It is his wife's hobby. They do not raise horses over there. I don't even think it could be considered a boarding facility. I have never seen where they take outside horses. I wonder if they are just upset that they will no longer be able to ride on that property. I know they did for years. (Jun 27, 2009 | post #1)
PETA Weighs in on Obama's Fly Affair
I believe the PETA people are insane. I don't believe in the mistreatment of animals but my god... most of these people have just lost. http://www.youtube .com/watch?v=l9ijL ulwUTY (Jun 19, 2009 | post #105)
Suggest a place to eat in Blue Ridge??
Ditto to that! I love that place. It maybe pricey but it is well worth it. The only other place close to it is the Chophouse over at Murphy, and it still runs second in my book. (Jun 12, 2009 | post #19)
Store Apologizes, Pulls Vick Jersey
I don't believe that animal should be abused but the animal rights groups are nuts. http://www.youtube .com/watch?v=0exLa 6saV9o (Jun 12, 2009 | post #207)
I really like John Barnes in Copper Hill. He does a really great job. (Jun 11, 2009 | post #16)
No matter if it is a vicious cycle or not. The children of others is not my problem nor do I want to foot the bill for them. If I did I would donate my money directly to whomever I wanted to help. I do not like seeing the taxes from money I work hard to earn thrown away. I believe enough taxpayer money is thrown away now without programs like this. If you would like to throw your money away that is fine. I personally believe that to be illogicial. Unlike others here, I don't call people stupid. I may not agree with you or your ideas but insulting others just because you can hide behind your computer is childish. If they were that desperate to make something of themselves, they have other choices. Adoption is a perfectly good option. Private Adoption options are some of the best. They would get their health care paid for, and a family that can't have their own child would be happy. There are more choices than just keeping the baby or abortion. As for jobs, there are plenty of them out there but no one seems to want to job hunt like in the old days. Everyone now wants to sit on their butts behind the computer and find one. Get out and look. They may not be those million dollar jobs... or dream jobs... or cushy jobs but there are jobs. (Jun 10, 2009 | post #83)
I am not a man, and I do have children. No, I am not of the No Child Left Behind generation. But when you start insinuating that I am stupid due to the fact that I do not agree with you is also stupid. I never said you were stupid, nor did I insinuate that you may very well be part of this newer genertaion of laziness and disregard for others. When people start insulting others, it is usually due to the fact they have no other valid argument to make. (Jun 10, 2009 | post #71)
How do you feel it is stupid? That it is the truth? When I was in school, there were very, VERY few pregnancies. I actually can only remember one my senior year. She had the baby and did want to better herself. She didn't worry about the taxpayers taking care of her baby. She found the care herself and came back to school and finished. Yes, when they drop out of day school, they can get a job and help pay for what they have done. Do not use my money. They can get their parents that allowed them to have sex to watch the baby in the evening while they go to night school, which is free also. I guess it is stupid to you because I don't agree with your warm, fuzzy view of things. This is real life, and they need to find that real life isn't that easy. As for the boy (can't all them a father, most are not), he needs to keep his willy in his pants. If he can't and gets someone pregnant, he should be proven the DNA donor (still won't say father here), and made to work also. There is night school for him as well. He can work during the day to help pay for his mistake also. Or if he still wants to go to day school, he can always get a 2nd shift job somewhere. I noticed that someone mentioned no child left behind. It is doing nothing but making our children stupider. Look around at the youth today, if you can't see it, then you are blind. Authorized TV. Pretty good folks. That is who my mom has dealt with for a long time. (Jun 9, 2009 | post #8)
Ok, now granted I have not ready every post thoroughly here but I keep seeing the words "educate our youth". You can't educate any of them that don't want to be educated. I can understand a daycare program for the employees but students? No, negative, do not pass go, do not collect $200. That is insane. I don't want my tax money being wasted on this sort of youth. A very small percentage of them will go forth in their lives and make something of themselves. The rest, if they were determined to be something better, wouldn't be in that spot. All of them know the consquences of having sex and what may happen. They also know that the health dept. will give them birth control freely. If they weren't smart enough to take the "free" help not to have children, why on earth should schools provide them "free" daycare? If they think they are big enough to play grown up games, then they should be treated like grown up and have to see the real world. That is not the tax-payers problem, nor should they have to pay for it. These pregnant students can always quit school and find a job to help pay for the child they have brought into this world, all while paying for their own daycare (like almost all they working folks do, including myself), and they can go to night school (where their education is still free) and get a diploma. Well, if they really want to better themselves anyway. Most of them will just stay in school so they can keep screwing off with their friends. Which, is more than likely, the same reason they got themselves where they were. (Jun 9, 2009 | post #60)
