Because of your sheepish attitude towards their gun prohibitions against YOU, I think you are too. FIVE NewYork City police unions endorsed Bloomberg for Mayor. The Chicago FOP is antigun also. Several Chicago sources initially claimed Scott's handgun WAS registered. I believe Chapman. This story proves again that Chicago's gun ban leaves only the cops and the criminals armed. Scott's death means there's one less thug roaming the streets. When will gunless Richard Daley finally hang himself (before it's too late, before he dies of mouth cancer.)  (9 hrs ago | post #2)

They will shove OmamaCare and an Afghan troop surge right down our throats; there is nothing we can do except ONE thing, and that is vote for the most pro gun politician that has a chance of being elected. Pity the voter who's democrat choice is the most pro gun politician. Americans are obsessed (now) with govt healthcare, and winning a war. Neither side will ever admit of destroying the republic. Chicago has the most handgun violence. There's no elimination of gun control laws in Chicago. Illinois prohibits conceal/carry. The killing of Chicago cops by concealed/carry permit holders is a cowardly fantasy by members of the Violence Policy Center and the un-named author of this editorial. They should stop daydreaming and start tallying the homicides in Chicago, which has the most gun control laws.  (10 hrs ago | post #8)

Why is it we should surrender our right to self defense to increase the safety of cops ? Where's the benefit for that. Does the Violence Policy Center say the lives of cops are more important than non-cops ? Who's to say the shooting of cops by permit holders was not justified ? Are all of those incidences considered murder beyond a reasonable doubt ? Were there any killings of rogue cops ? This debate, along with other things like the Patriot Act prove the Terrorists beat us up for a long time. Because of war profiteers, politicians seeking legacy, and ultra right-wing nutjobs, Americans are involved in a war overseas that can be fought here by our enemies. Major Hasan is the proof. Eight years after 9/11, one year after the alleged successful surge, and 6 years after the invasion, the American sheep are again screaming there's s giant on the beach. Oh my ! The "surge" was supposed to make us safe ? They will shove ObamaCare and another "surge" right down our sheepish throats, whether we like it or not. And Bush is long gone ! Tennessee judge blocks law allowing guns in bars

I have not read the law, but I suspect it does not violate property rights, rather it prohibits govt from prohibiting guns in bars. If bar owners want to keep guns out they can. So this is an antigun movement.  (12 hrs ago | post #2)

The area on the outside of the barrel, where it meets the cylinder, after firing, soak it with cleaner and then scrub it gently with only a nylon brush. Keep that area clean or it becomes difficult to get clean. Use only +P's for self defense (not for target practice) because the barrel is short, and a short barrel creates a loss of power (fps). If you buy a crimson laser sight (there are two models); one has a longer grip. Buy the longer grip because it gives more control during recoil. High recoil is this guns' drawback, especially when going from a .45acp. Aim low and left, because the bullet will strike high and right. Hold the gun tight. It's a fun challenge to shoot the gun accurately, and equally fun to learn to be accurate at longer ranges (the .38special has a long range). They experts say your attacker will be within very close range and obtaining a sight picture will not be neccessary. (IMO)  (Saturday | post #774)

What do think the Founders envision for you ? Probably a rope around your neck. Most convicted felons don't want or need a fully auto gun. If they did they would have them. Feel free to post signs on our Mexican border that would inform the migrating Mexicans how much better it is in Vancouver and Toronto.
