Call Richard George at the Sheriff's Department. He will put your name on the list and let you know when the next class is scheduled. (Dec 18, 2012 | post #6)
Please take this as constructive. Your life will be much smoother and more enjoyable if you will concentrate in school and learn to write and spell correctly. An education will enable you to have choices in life and not be stuck. That is true of all kids (or adults), not just ones with issues causing them emotional grief. It will also make it harder for you to be discriminated against when you can prove you are worthy of employment. (Sep 20, 2012 | post #8)
You will find some understanding and accepting people here, but not many. Most will be like some of the posts that follow. I hope you find a group of friends who will value you and you can ignore the rest. (Sep 19, 2012 | post #2)
I took my dogs in for shots. They were very nice, professional, and competent. The prices were of course not as low as Dr. Alter's, because Dr. Alter refused to ever raise his rates because of a love of Coffeyville people, who he felt would be hurt by higher vet rates. But their rates were very reasonable and less than the rates I was paying in a bigger city ten years ago. The place is clean and doesn't smell. I will definitely go back. (Aug 2, 2012 | post #2)
I have heard that recently from someone who said "It is definitely gonna happen". I'm not holding my breath, but would be nice. (Jul 4, 2012 | post #2)
I have lovely Republican friends who would never act in such a way. I am talking about the closed-minded Obama haters who are so irrational that they can't hear his name without becoming angry. I agree that both parties have preconceived stereotypical notions about each other that we all could do without. We need to learn to work together so we can get something done. (Jul 2, 2012 | post #8)
Your fears are definitely justified. There are quite a lot of uneducated and closed-minded people around here who would take it out on your car. There are a few left-leaning people around but they don't speak up much because of what you have said. I was actually at a professional business meeting where some members were trashing the current government and then turned around and said "We are all Republicans here, right?". They just assume everyone has to think like they do. Good luck in your political feelings, but I would not advertise anything on your car, unless you like to invite confrontations. Just keep an open mind, and listen to both sides, and be an example. (Jul 2, 2012 | post #3)
You people are unbelievable. This is the biggest bunch of bs rumor yet. This is absolutely not true. (Jun 29, 2012 | post #6)
Yes, he is gone. But the truth is that he is not all bad and he is not all good. He is human like everyone else. He has done many good things for a lot of his patients who love and respect him, but he had too many other kinds of patients who only wanted prescriptions. He didn't get rid of them out of his practice, so they were ultimately his downfall. Everything else about his personal life is gossip and hurtful. (Jun 18, 2012 | post #13)
Sorry, Gay Teacher and no problem, I replied to the wrong comment, but you get my drift, I'm sure..lol. (Jun 7, 2012 | post #8)
If you look back on some of the gay threads on topix, you will see that there are plenty of backward thinking people in the community. The good thing is that they mostly keep their remarks anonymous on Topix and you will probably never know who they are in real life. I think you will find lots of people who are friendly and accepting. I hope you like it here. We need good teachers. (Jun 7, 2012 | post #7)
I am sure that the punishment was agreed upon by both the college officials and the court. If they sent them to jail, there is no hope of ever getting their money back. By agreeing to this deal, they received half of the money up front, and the rest will be paid back over a period of years. This outcome makes sure that the college contributors and supporters are paid back, at least most of what was taken. It doesn't matter whether we believe they should have had more jail time. What was done was in the best interest of the college, as well as the DeVivo children, who are innocent. (Apr 11, 2012 | post #4)
