2010 Honda Accord Crosstour to start at $29,670
The jetta does indeed get 55 mpg highway. I have a friend who owns one and it gets 55 mpg on the interstate. Just like my civic hybrid averages better than the epa mileage. And the jetta sportWAGON, is a wagon, just like the accord. Respectible? Please! the chevrolet equinox costs just 21k and gets 22/32 mpg. (Wednesday Nov 4 | post #4)
2010 Honda Accord Crosstour to start at $29,670
The honda accord sedan gets 22/31 mpg, and the wagon gets only 18/27? competitive for its class? The VW Jetta sportwagon TDI gets 55 mpg highway and costs less! Honda has laid an egg here! (Tuesday Nov 3 | post #1)
Ford Posts an Unexpected Profit of $997 million
The UAW's strike threat is quite a bit less than it used to be. Chrysler is going bankrupt, so all the UAW jobs there are gone. And striking a struggling automaker may push Ford into banktruptcy, where all the UAW agreements are null and void. Ford might reorganize as non union, as toyota and honda are. Ford Posts an Unexpected Profit of $997 million
Definately a good sign that ford made profits. However, if the UAW hangs tough on negotiations, Ford will just move more jobs to mexico. (Monday Nov 2 | post #2)
Victory is great, but fins and jets still have a way to go
Miami definately has a ways to go. Henne is showing he's a rookie QB, as are the 3 rookies in the secondary. And Ginn's one game performance against the jets was nice, but he cannot disappear next week against the patriots. Miami still needs WR help. Either current group needs to improve, or, some high draft picks next year. And Miami could use a top defensive end next year, maybe a top inside linebacker. And the jury is still out on Henne. If he does not improve, does Miami draft a QB high next year? And this year is Ronnie Brown's last year. Running back might be a need next year if he is not resigned. http://www.sun-sen tinel.com/sports/m iami-dolphins/sfl- dolphins-grades-s1 10209sbnov02,0,740 3409.story (Monday Nov 2 | post #1)
It was a great game! I read where clemons was starting instead of gabril wilson. Wilson reportedly played a heck of a game. I did see starks sack of sanchez! That definately played a role in the defense stopping the jets. Ginn played a great game, and hopefully this will result in his improvement as a WR. (Monday Nov 2 | post #4)
Interesting the coaching staff benched wilson in favor of the rookie safety. It also appears the demoting of ginn out of his #1 WR slot paid dividends via his 2 returns for TD's. I missed the game, anyone out there with an opinion of how the rookie safety played? And did Ginn have any receptions? (Sunday Nov 1 | post #1)
Ethan J. Skolnick: Struggling Ted Ginn has been given enough time
It appears the demoting of Ted Ginn by sparano has had the desired effect by his two td's for kickoffs in the jets game. Miami should still just use Ginn on kickoffs and TD's until he proves he is a valuable wide receiver. Did Ginn have any catches during the jets game? (Sunday Nov 1 | post #8)
Ethan J. Skolnick: Struggling Ted Ginn has been given enough time
It appears Ted Ginn has been demoted to second string. Sparano says he wants to "upset the apple cart". My guess is you will see hartline in ginns position against the jets. And that will be a major league upgrade over the inconsistent ginn. (Thursday Oct 29 | post #4)
Buick is profitable; Pontiac was not - Automotive News
I personally never saw any need for pontiacs. Most of their cars were identical to chevrolets, the camaro and the firebird/Trans am for instance. (Monday Oct 26 | post #1)
Auto task force shocked by financial state of GM, Chrysler
Because most of the saturn customers are going to toyota and honda. Ford has picked up market share, but I do not believe its more than a few points. We'll just have to see the next market share data to find out what fords share is. (Monday Oct 26 | post #15)
Ethan J. Skolnick: Struggling Ted Ginn has been given enough time
I've said this before, Ted Ginn needs to be released. Patrick Turner could at least get some reps if Ginn were released. Ginn, after 3 years, is still tentative returning kickoffs! And Hartline has earned the number 1 spot! (Monday Oct 26 | post #1)
posawatz - Volt range extended mileage
The key to the volt is how much it costs to recharge the batteries. It has to be significantly cheaper than hybrids as its price is above that of the prius and civic hybrids. I would also be disappointed if the range extended mileage were not significantly better than the prius. Otherwise, why waste all this time developing it? http://www.autoblo g.com/2009/10/23/p osawatz-volt-range -extended-mileage- to-be-better-than- any-con/ (Saturday Oct 24 | post #1)
As Toyota Sputters, VW steers for the top
I've heard VW owners with some terrific miles on their engines. Half a million. Thats why you won't see GM and Ford put diesels in their cars, they are too worried about them lasting forever, but it didn't help them keep sales when the economy soured. They have not figured out if you don't give consumers what they want, someone else will. (Saturday Oct 24 | post #6)
US workers, immigrants unite vs. work visa program
You are correct. When I worked at state farm, they had hundreds of indians working there on the visa program. My consoling thought is they were having problems with them. You get what you pay for. (Saturday Oct 24 | post #3)
