How do you expect people to live in peace, and the country to prosper if nothing is being done in order to attain that goal? It is true, we Barundi are quick to blame one or the other. The other ethnic group, the ones abroad and so on and so forth, but when will we start blaming the ones who are really responsible for all this mess? Well, I am going to start now! Each and everyone of us barundi is responsible, you, me, EVERYONE!!! You are going to tell me that you never did anything wrong, but did you do anything to stop the crimes, join any movement that was actually working on peace and equality? Did any of us think about all those who were dying of hunger or from the tip of a gun, or a machete? We did in some sense, but did we really? Are we acting, or uniting as ONE people to stop what's going on? Hutu's, Tutsi's and Twa's are dying by the minute, even as you read this note. Don't you think enough people have died? Doesn't any of you think that it is time we came together as a people and put our heads together and figure out a way to get our beloved country out of this mess? I do not have all the answers, on the contrary, but I'm willing to look for some. The question is, are you? If you are, then, what in the world are we waiting for? (Jun 10, 2008 | post #28)
